Keuka Park Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6-10)

About Us:

Grouse Haven Cabin was built in 2003-2004 by the current owners. The cabin was named Grouse Haven because while we were building we could hear the Grouse birds in the area “drumming”. The cabin is secluded in a red pine forest with lots of Mother Nature in its surroundings. There are trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. There is also a picnic area located at the lower end of the 90-acre property that you can get to by hiking trails. The cabin is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with close proximity to Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Watkins Glen, 2 miles to Keuka Lake State Park, the Finger Lakes wineries and Keuka college.

Keywords: Cabin located on Bluff Point secluded in red pines for privacy, within the heart of the Finger Lakes with hiking trails, and close proximity to wineries, antique stores, Keuka Lake State park, Bristol ski mountain, cheese tours, The Windmill, and resturants.

Suitability:
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters
  • children welcome
  • pets considered
  • smoking allowed
  • wheelchair accessible

Grouse Haven is a beautiful cabin in the red pines. It was a perfect sport secluded in the red pine forest, yet only minutes away from Pen Yan with lots of restaurants. We used this as a base camp to visit the area and couldn't have been more pleased. The property is well maintained, clean and comfortable. The photos on line while accurate, cannot show how beautiful it is in reality. We traveled to Watkins Glen for the wine festivale, stopping at the Windmill in Dundee, a few cheese shops, and farmers markets. Looking forward to returning again. I would highly recommend Grouse have to anyone, friends, relatives or strangers.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a great cabin - spacious, comfortable and peaceful. As some write in the guest book, the photographs don't quite capture the views or the cabin. Both are much more impressive upon entering the door. Secluded and yet close enough to food, trails, and the state park. We stayed during winter and the cabin was toasty (fireplace, radiant floor heating). A great place to stay and we hope to be back.

If you seek seclusion, quiet surroundings and nature at your door step Grouse Haven is for you. It is only an hour away from our home. Yet, we felt we were a million miles away. That makes Grouse Haven a very special place for us.

Cozy and so peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for those looking for a quiet secluded location! But...still pretty accessible to wineries an other attractions. This was just what we needed to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. May I suggest new pillows and a new wine opener? :) Great if you have pets! Thank you and we will be back!

Wonderful secluded spot - central to the fingerlakes

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place for a quiet getaway. The large property affords easy access to a quick hike and is central to the greater fingerlakes region. The bluff on Keuka lake is one of the most beautiful spots in the world and this tastefully decorated cabin in the woods fits in perfectly. Phylis and Mark, the owners, are very gracious and available for any questions. My family and I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this property.
