Dalton Lakeside Cottage is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway with family, friends and good neighbors. Located on a quiet private road, you will pass through a narrow but short underpass that is not an issue for a full size pickup or SUV. The cottage features 3 bedrooms, 1 bath with a kitchen and living room. We prefer you to use the screened windows to keep cool, but there is an option for A/C if needed $8.00 day, (please leave on counter if used). We have Dish network with 120 channels an outside antenna that has about 23 clear channels with some HD channels and a DVD player with moves provided (Please return after use for other guests). You will be spending most of your days outside grilling on the covered Front deck while your kids playing in the secured back yard or enjoying your time relaxing on Dalton Landing watching the sunrise and sunset as you enjoy your morning coffee or your evening glass of wine, at night relax by the outdoor fire-pit. There is a charming and historic train that runs by the house. The train has no set schedule but does go slow and the conductor will even blow the whistle for you if you wave to them. There is also a long dock for your convenience, whether you choose to fish from the dock, rent a boat at Roy's Marina or bring your own boat. The cottage is a short drive from a local farmers market called "The Windmill" and about 30 min drive from the waterloo shopping outlets. This is a wonderful cottage that is perfect for that quiet weekend we all need with family and friends. If this sounds like the place for you, please submit your booking request to lock in your dates. Ask about boat docking and trailer storage. Also note there is no WI-FI, but there is cell towers for data and voice. We do not supply a washer & dryer but list of laundromats will be available at the cottage.

Pretty and relaxing
Home is older and quite rustic but equipped with every thing you need. Deck is almost full length of house with awesome views of lake and has a good working grill. Was nice to sit at lower deck table and check out the lake. Fire pit was fun and wood for same was available at numerous places in the area. Look for stars on a clear night from the deck on the lake or behind the house! We also saw deer and a hawk that lives near the house. Owner was extremely helpful and always available. Shower is very small but may be updated this year.
Not sure why I was give a 3 you seem to be happy with everything and I also set you up for football by adding more channels . I know the shower is not that big but is listed on my Vrbo site being small. Or am I missing something .Thanks for the Review Still a good one
The cottage was very homey, relaxing & accommodating.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was comfortable and had a wonderful view. We took part in the fire pit, outdoor and indoor games and of the grill. We cooked in the kitchen and the guys enjoyed their tv. Watched the train and walked the country roads. Three couples so the three bedrooms were perfect. If we could make one suggestion at least an additional half bath would have been very useful. It was a wonderful weekend in spite of the cool rainy weather. We definitely would rent this property again in the future.
Great family getaway
This was the perfect place for a family getaway! There were 5 adults, a 2 yr old and a small dog and there was plenty of room, the yard was fenced in which was really nice and the house has everything that you need (linens, towels, kitchen equipment, grill). Gary was great and very responsive, he called us before our trip to make sure we didn't have any questions for him. There are a lot of stairs to get down to lake, which didn't really bother us and we enjoyed being able to overlook the lake. It is also a great location, it was super quiet but there are tons of wineries and a couple little places to eat right down the road. We took a drive to Watkins Glen, which was about 20 min to hike the State Park...absolutely beautiful! Overall, we had a wonderful stay!
Our group of 6 loved our stay! The owner was very accommodating and checked in with us during the stay. House had everything you need, aside from a few cooking necessities- olive oil and pam cooking spray was all we were missing, but grocery store was nearby, and we cooked every night! House was clean and welcoming. For 6 people we all fit perfectly in the house even with just 1 bathroom it was never an issue. Will definitely stay here again!
very nice place
The cottage was just like it appeared in pictures. It was clean and apparent that the owner of the property is a quality person who makes sure you have everything you need.
Made for a perfect weekend
The owner called me the day before to ensure we were all set. He even allowed us to check in a bit early, which was greatly appreciated after a long drive from NJ to the house. It was easy to find (the little underpass is intimidating, but our cars fit through just fine) and clean. The house was well-stocked with linens, dishes, silverware... plenty of outdoor furniture.... everything I needed for a weekend away with girlfriends. Located next to several wineries, we drove about 2 minutes to wine taste (so awesome) and came back to enjoy a swim in the lake. The fenced yard is a bonus, as is the air conditioner that quickly cooled down the house. Stunning views, from the table on the landing on the way down to the lake, for both sunrise and sunset. Played cornhole, drank wine and enjoyed our stay. I would consider going back for a long weekend with my husband and kids! Thanks to the owner Gary for everything!
