About this property

Experience wine country magic with several wineries nearby and memorable tasting

Dalton Lakeside Cottage is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway with family, friends and good neighbors. Located on a quiet private road, you will pass through a narrow but short underpass that is not an issue for a full size pickup or SUV. The cottage features 3 bedrooms, 1 bath with a kitchen and living room. We prefer you to use the screened windows to keep cool, but there is an option for A/C if needed. We have a RokuTV that allows guests to sign into their streaming services. High speed internet is also available provided by Spectrum. You will be spending most of your days outside grilling on the covered Front deck while your kids playing in the secured back yard or enjoying your time relaxing on Dalton Landing watching the sunrise and sunset as you enjoy your morning coffee or your evening glass of wine. Relax by the outdoor fire-pit at night. There is a charming and historic train that runs by the house. The train has no set schedule but does go slow and the conductor will even blow the whistle for you if you wave to them. There is also a long dock for your convenience, whether you choose to fish from the dock, rent a boat at Roy's Marina or bring your own boat. The cottage is a short drive from a local farmers market called "The Windmill" and about 30 min drive from the waterloo shopping outlets. This is a wonderful cottage that is perfect for that quiet weekend we all need with family and friends. If this sounds like the place for you, please submit your booking request to lock in your dates. Ask about boat docking and trailer storage. We do not supply a washer & dryer but list of laundromats will be available at the cottage. There are also 2 security cameras located on each corner of the front of the house, these are used for security purposes only, there are no other cameras in any guest areas of the cottage.

This was our 4th year staying at this property. The view of the lake and the sunrise is amazing. It is so peaceful and relaxing on the deck, but also so close to the local wineries and breweries. Going back again next year!

Pictures were 100% accurate and the property was clean and comfortable. The fenced in yard as perfect for our dog and the views were amazing! Our Host was easy to get in touch with and very pleasant to interact with. Great place to unwind and relax!

This was a very nice stay, cottage true as advertised, everything needed was there. The host was great in terms of communicating with us prior to arriving and making sure we had everything we needed. Stairs to dock are safe and sturdy, much time spent in lake swimming and floating around. Very shallow a far way out, so great for kids. The cottage was comfortable and beautiful, Bedrooms comfortable, Amenities great. Cottage was very clean. No complaints whatsoever. I give stay a 10/10!! We are considering this place for next year's vacation.

This property has an amazing view and access to the lake. The only thing I would have someone pay attention to is that there is an underpass right before the property that is quite low. My jeep compass did just fine, however.

Beautiful location. Large deck overlooks lake along with smaller deck and stairs to dock. Dock was damaged but being repaired along with most docks in that areaDriveway is long and narrow and be aware there. Is an underpass that is low. Truck and large SUV make it fine but if you have a car top carrier you may not fit

We had a wonderful stay with the most amazing views. Beautiful sunrise view each morning and direct access to the lake from a private dock. The host provided everything we could need for our stay. Very easy communication from the host. Overall, great stay with family.

Very nice property. Gary was very clear on rules, provided thoughts on things to do around the area (plenty of wineries and restaurants), and was very reachable for any questions. The place was very clean and is in a great location. Would rent again.

We were fortunate to rent Dalton Lakeside. The cottage is very clean and towels and bedding is provided. We brought our young dog and two toddlers and the fence was perfect for them. We all enjoyed swimming off of the dock and collection shells and fossils on the shores. The cottage truly fit our needs, grilling on the deck and cooking in the kitchen for our meals was great and watching the sunrise every morning. We stayed over the 4th of July and we're able to watch several firework shows from the back deck. The location is private while still being central enough to many of the popular attractions in the area we were able to explore each day and didn't feel like we were in the car for too long. Additionally the owners provided information on several local attractions. I definitely recommend for a family with small children. On our first night a bald eagle flew by while we were down on the dock and we were able to watch an Osprey catch a fish while we were on the dock as well, there were many ducks staying near by and many eagle and herons flying over everyday.

The host is excellent with communication, the property is well kept and dog friendly! Safe, fenced in area where everyone can be together. The sunrises are amazing and so is the expansive view of the lake. 10 out of 10 for relaxation! Close to wineries and shopping as well.

House was very comfortable. Gary was a great host. Very relaxing location - loved sitting on the porch with my coffee watching the sunrise. Dogs enjoyed the yard and I enjoyed the doggie door and not having to get up every time they wanted to go out/come in. Would definitely rent again.

Lovely property, amazing outdoor space

Property was beautiful, the view cannot be beat. If you have a dog, it’s absolutely perfect. Had everything we needed and is a great location for visiting wineries.

Dalton Cottage is a peaceful location right on Seneca Lake. It had a fulled fenced in yard so our dogs could play (completely secure even for little dogs) and even had a doggy door they loved to use! Our dogs loved it. The deck was amazing to have coffee on every morning and the water was so clear!
