This home was exactly as described and more! We appreciated all the extra little amenities that we didn’t have to go out and buy. The location was central to everything we wanted to do and especially close to several beaches. We loved it! Would definitely recommend and would consider returning in the future.
You can tell a lot of work and love has gone into this property. My hunch is the owners do a few upgrades every year. The main living areas, main bathroom and bedrooms are nice, everything is clean. Backyard is a big bonus. We enjoyed the fire pit.
Had a lovely stay at this house. Great fenced in yard. Upstairs is very private. Huge TV. Window unit a/c in the bedrooms for arctic sleeping. Close to everything. Management was great.

One-Star Review: Unsafe and Unacceptable
We initially thought this house was lovely, but our experience quickly turned into a nightmare. One morning, our son began vomiting and showing signs of illness. Concerned that he might be dehydrated, we took him to the hospital. After several hours, doctors determined he had been poisoned. We later learned he had ingested one of the two packages of medication that his younger sister found under the bed, items they both mistook for candy. (One was a package of various prescription adult vitamin's and the other was cannabis gummies). This should never have happened. These substances were clearly left behind from a prior guest and were completely missed during the cleaning process. It’s unacceptable that the property was not thoroughly cleaned and checked for hazardous items before our arrival. Due to this serious oversight that resulted in a medical emergency, I do not recommend staying at this property.

We agree that this was an incredibly unfortunate situation that should never have happened - we wish the best for your son’s continued good health.
That said, our cleaners continue to do a fantastic job, but these items were tucked under a trundle bed and extremely difficult to see for anyone. No cleaner can be expected to find every item left by a prior guest left between a cushion or beneath a rug. Of course these items should not have been left, and 99 times out of 100 they are found and discarded during standard cleans. On occasions like this, when something is missed, we must rely on parents monitoring their children and ensuring they don’t consume dangerous or inappropriate substances. To confirm this thinking, we spoke with the Traverse City Sheriff department to see if we needed a report to document this situation to which their response was, “What for, this is not your fault. A prior guest left something behind and the current guest was negligent.” Similarly, we stock plenty of cleaning products under the kitchen sink that smell good but are dangerous for children, and no one would question it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children do not consume these items. This was an extremely unfortunate situation, we wish the items were never left, we wish the cleaner could have seen them to discard them, and we wish the parents had prevented their child from ingesting them.
On our end going forward, we have spoken with our cleaners to thoroughly check the trundle bed to hopefully mitigate the risk of something like this happening ever again.
