Was a great rental. Only caveat was the water level of the lake. As situation the whole norther half of Wisconsin is putting up with. Place was very clean, comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend it. Plus, was really quiet at night for a great rest AND, the sunrises were beautiful ------ many pictures taken!

The cabin smelled terrible, no grab bars in shower, the outside stairs are falling apart. The two bedrooms on the porch and in basement smelled so bad could not sleep in them. Frig. Was making a noise we think it might have been the ice maker. This place needs some attention once fixed up would be a nice place.

Getaway

My husband and I stayed here and enjoyed the coziness of the property with all the Northwoods charm. The location was great and we took advantage of the stocked kitchen, fire pit, the excellent WiFi, and the screened in porch. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet Lakeshore

The inside of the cabin was cute and clean. The kitchen was not stocked with many items to cook with such as mixing bowls, pans, or silverware. The outside of the cabin was completely overgrown with weeds and wasp hives. The screen on the front door was completely ripped wide open so we couldn’t leave the door open. The grill was unusable covered with thick rust and most of the grate was rusted through. There were really nice chairs to sit around the fire but they were completely covered in bird poop. We didn’t have a hose, brush or bucket to clean them. The lake is really nice. We brought a boat and the dock was not put in the water as the pictures showed. Fishing was good and we enjoyed the kayaks and pedal boat. The location to town was perfect. I’ve never put a negative review on VRBO but there were simply upkeep things that just weren’t done which was disappointing. We had fun but I wouldn’t rent this cabin again.

In my opinion, this property is more geared to a fishing group not necessarily a family. If you're looking for an outdoor experience in the north woods of Wisconsin, this is your place. I've used Vrbo several times and the listings have always been accurate about what I'm renting. This one could have been more specific about some of the "funky" details. On the whole the location is very scenic and the owners were helpful.

Family Reunion

We came to town for a family reunion. Typically we stay with family. This time I chose to extend our typical trip and book a house on a lake. I wanted to show my family how I grew up. We don't get much lake life or Wisconsin quality fishing in Colorado. The cabin and the lake did not disappoint. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended.

Up North 2025

Great fishing. Bon fires fun (but wood was too large). Ran out of propane. Upon arrival dirty dishes, garbage & someone's underwear found. Expired fire extinguishers. Broken kitchen chair. Window sills covered with dead bugs. Very warm inside (would have liked a box fan). Needed instructions on what to do with garbage.
