The place was great. Location was safe and close to several attractions. Only negative is some confusion in the vrbo listing- I think they confused check in and check out times (said 3pm checkout) and we were kicked out at 11. Also said only 1 bedroom but there were 2 so that was a nice surprise!

We had a great stay at Terry’s place. Terry generously provided soft drinks, oatmeal for breakfast, and coffee pods, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated.The flat is a ground-floor unit located behind the main house at the address provided by the host. The space was clean, quiet, and very spacious, making it a comfortable place to stay. We also found street parking right near the unit to be very convenient.Thank you again to Terry for hosting us—we would gladly stay here again.

Host was very responsive and overall helpful--there was a plumbing issue when we checked in that was dealt with the next day. House was as described and true to the pictures. We were not provided initially with enough towels for the number of people staying, however the host also quickly provided us with more.

A great stay!

We had to book this location a day before we made it out there so I was nervous about what we were getting into but it was perfect! I must mention that we did not have AC in the unit we stayed in and coming from the south, that was very unusual. Little did we know, you didn’t even need AC! The ceiling fans were enough and kept us COLD as we slept! The host was responsive and very helpful!

Convenient Emeryville apartment

A spacious, light, comfortable and quiet apartment, ground floor in a 2-story back yard unit. Just a few doors off San Pablo Ave and close to amenities including a good coffee shop. Check in info was last-minute but host Terry was responsive to small glitch on arrival.

The place is inexpensive and in a cute, walkable neighborhood. Our bed was comfortable. There was a nice stash of coffee and candy. The kitchen table was sticky / greasy. There were no hand towels. The TV was sort of melted, and we had to watch it sideways. Communication was scant. All of that would have been ok, but at about 11 pm the people upstairs brought home what sounded like a horse, and then possibly took up a rousing round of roller derby, and then maybe moved some furniture? Every time they ran the water it sounded like we were in a car wash. I tried to sleep with a pillow over my head, but the pillows were too enthusiastic in their firmness to do the job.

Cute and cozy

When we first got to property I wasn’t too sure if we were in the right place. We arrived late at night and it took some time to find the side path to the studio, but once we found it and went in it was just as the pictures show, so cute and cozy and the owner let us an apple pie which was an amazing surprise. I was there to pick up my daughter from her first year at CAL and it was close to her dorm. I will definitely be staying there again when we move her back I the fall.

Pulling up, we were worried. The area is not kept up, including this hse. No where 2 park, we always had to park 2 or more houses down. The apartment is in back and is fairly new. Dusty and a lot of cobwebs. Terry did have the fridge with drinks and snacks for guests which was nice. Kitchen is not fully equipped with cooking utensils, but enough to get by. Terry is very responsive, until he's not! We booked a wk stay for "The World of Baseball tournament, " that my son played in. We let Terry knw this specific before we came. The main reasons we stayed in an VRBO instead of a hotel were, the kitchen to cook, noise, and Laundry. My son was playing ball! We needed to wash periodically throughout the wk. We got to the apartment and it had no washer or dryer like it stated so every other day I had to go wash my son's uniform at the laundromat. By the 3rd day I asked for fresh towels @ 9am, left for the day. Came back and asked again for towels @ 3pm and I got dead silence from Terry. It wasn't till 8pm that we finally received towels. I had to go BUY towels to keep us on schedule. He also has a tenant that stays above you, that you do not need an alarm clock because they are running marathons and moving furniture every day starting @6am...so fun! Finally second to the last day there. We had somebody knock on our door and then try to walk in! Terry has cameras and when I asked him wht the hell was gng on..dead silence.

The house keeper thought u check out the day before she did not walk in she knocked on door and you answer bye that time she walk away And you texted me asking me did somebody knock on your door I told you it was the house keeper This unit does not have a washer and dryer The unit upstairs is also a vacation unit if they were making excessive noise I wish u would contacted me As well it states this is street parking I still tried to accommodate you with washing your towels

Terry was an excellent host. We had a very big project in the Bay Area for a week. I work hours for 10 hours a day just like these really want to come back to a place you can reset relax and prepare for the next day.The place was very clean and chic Bedrooms were very comfortable La-Z-Boy chairs hit the spot after after a long day of work. I definitely will recommend booking this place so look no further.Host is kind with excellent communication.
