Great location and our second extended stay at this home. It represents a good value, and we would select this home again in the future. It is an older home with a few quirks, but my wife and I find it comfortable and charming. Walk to the shops and restaurants on 4th St. or head off to the Monterrey market for the fresh veggies and fruit. Its location has proven to be great for our uses.

I was attending a conference in downtown San Francisco and needed a quiet place to unwind each evening. This charming Berkeley cottage fit the bill perfectly! It offers a lovely blend of vintage character and modern conveniences. It is also less than a 10-minute walk from the North Berkeley BART station, followed by an easy 25-minute ride to the Moscone Center area.Andreas was a wonderful host who made sure I had all the comforts of home. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and full of Berkeley charm—I felt comfortable walking to and from the BART station even after dark.The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals, the internet is fast, and the bed is comfortable. The shower has plenty of hot water and great water pressure, there are cozy throws for cool evenings, and opening the windows creates a wonderful breeze on warmer days. The cottage also offers computer and TV access, although I am not an Apple user and did take full advantage of some streaming channels.Andreas will tell you the backyard is a work in progress, but it comes with a visiting cat or two who may reward a few moments of patience with their trust! I only wish I would have had more time to enjoy the outdoor space (both front and back).Skip the hotel and give this delightful cottage a try. I am glad I did!

We really enjoyed our stay. Very helpful communication, easy check-in/out, and the place was very clean with thoughtful/practical touches. Plenty of towels, easy to use the kitchen, good water pressure and wifi, and very quiet and comfortable at night.

Host was awesome! The place is super cozy & beautiful. The driveway isn't suitable for parking and the bathroom is very small but overall I totally recommend it. If you're going to the UC Berkeley campus tour, it's perfect. You can walk to the local shops & restaurants, all the way to the university!

The Vrbo is in a great location. It’s about 4 blocks from the North Berkeley BART station and is an easy walk to a coffee bar and bagel place on one side and a bakery on another side. The bed is comfortable, the water filter quite amazing, plenty of towels, a usable outdoor space and easy in and out.

Great location with shopping nearby. Actually, the city is pretty easy to get around. Kitchen was amply stocked, plenty of linens and comfy beds. I would add that if you have difficutly with mobility the front of the house has a steep drive that might be difficult to manage. Loved our host-helpful and considerate.

Three adults visiting family in Berkeley and SF had a very comfortable, convenient one-week stay at this rental. The host was a great communicator. The location is a short walk to BART and many good restaurants. Nice neighborhood. We would happily return.

Comfortable old craftsman house. small quaint bathroom.Nice size rooms and living areas with a huge tv. Water from the tap is an issue but we just used the big fresh water filter in the kitchen. Nice quiet neighborhood with street parking for a mid size suv.
