Perfect in every way. Totally exceeded expectations.
First vacation to New Orleans. We were so lucky to find this lovely flat. Cannot say enough positive about our host, his rental and the location. We are already planning a return trip to NOLA and will stay with Herb again. The apartment is great, the neighborhood hip, close to museums, great restaurants, music and shopping. Except for the New Orleans heat and humidity we could have walked a lot more. We did not need a car to get around... used ride share. Stayed a week and felt like a local.
Cosy, welcoming, very attractive, with everything we needed.
Herb was a wonderful host, who went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from the amenities in the apartment to giving us a ride to the French quarter. He gave us very useful information, was always available to answer questions or to provide something we might need, and couldn’t have been nicer.
Thank you, Herb!!

Great location! Fun safe neighborhood
We loved this place. What a wonderful part of NO to experience. I have been to NOLA many times but never to this neighborhood. Easy Uber to FQ, Frenchman or CBD but this neighborhood has so much to experience. City Park is right up Esplanade and we spent most of a day there in Sculpture and Botanical gardens. Great restaurants and small markets here. Cant say enough good about Herb as a host. He provides abundant info and history about his city. The apartment was very comfy for 3 well traveled friends together. Ideal for 2. Great NO lush garden space out back to hang out in. Very niceand comfy place! Thanks Herb!
What a beautiful home to stay in located in New Orleans. Not only was the location perfect, but Herb was also a lovely host. He was particularly accommodating and generous to guests and me. If I ever come back to NOLA, I know where I'm staying!
Cool flat! Clean. Comfy bed
We didn’t spend much time here but it’s a nice small flat with all of the amenities and a cool jungle for a back yard
A little something extra
Lagniappe Suite gave us more than a little something extra. We've been to New Orleans a few times and were looking for a nice, comfortable place to stay away from the usual Bourbon Street location. Staying here, we became part of the neighborhood. Herb is a wonderful host who made us feel welcome and comfortable right from the second we stepped out of our taxi. He gave us a tour of our suite and how to access/work everything. And he even had a snack and bottle of wine ready for us after our day of traveling. We will definitely be staying here again.
Walking distance to several New Orleans festivals including the Jazz and Heritage Festival and Voodoo Festival. Just a lovely seven to eight block stroll to historic St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, Bayou St. John, the Carrollton/Canal Streetcar, and City Park, which is larger than Central Park in NYC, and includes the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park & Storyland, boat & bike rentals, the Botanical Gardens, Golf, Tennis, Canoeing, 24 hour Café Du Monde, gondola rides on Great Lake, NOLA City Bark, Equest Farm, New Orleans Museum of Art and the free and awesome outdoor Bestoff Sculpture Garden (a must-see!).
