Guestbook comments from the owner

Herb's Home was perfect for our NOLA vacation. The house is located in a picturesque New Orleans neighborhood walking distance to most places, including restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops AND just a 5 min. walk to Jazz Fest which was amazing to be so close to all of the action. We took short taxi's rides to all of our favorite Music Halls, hung out in the back yard and really enjoyed the place!!! Getting to know Herb was awesome too, he knows everything about the city and it was really helpful to have some local advice.

Most amazing host and property!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived Herb made us feel as if we were there visiting a fried. The apartmemt has all of the amenities you could ever think of (fully stocked kitchen, more towels than you would ever need, great working AC and even fruits and bottles of water). The apt was super clean, a very short ride to French Quarter and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Staying with Herb was the best decision we made for our trip to NOLA and we will for sure return. If you get a chance to sit down with Herb for a history lesson, you won't be disappointed. Herb, thank for your attentiveness and treating us like family!

Perfect place for our short stay in NOLA

We had so much fun during our one night stay in New Orleans thanks to Herb and his cute/cozy place. He was such a great host! Very knowledgeable of the area and friendly. If you stay here make sure you ask about the “famous golden jacket” 😉

Lovely accommodations & equally lovely owner

  • 5 of 5

Herb was very kind and helpful, letting us drop our luggage off before we were able to check in. He also gave us some helpful pointers on where to eat and what fun things to do outside of the typical tourists haunts. Fantastic experience and would definitely recommend to others.

Fantastic host and property!

  • 5 of 5

Herb is a fantastic host and the property became an instant favorite (we booked it for next New Orleans visit before we left). Wonderful neighborhood, a short distance from the French Quarter, but far from the noise (it's quiet). Herb keeps it very well stocked and it would have been easy to just stay put. Looking forward to our return.
