Our little Slice of HEAVEN- Come have a fun and relaxing vacation at our beachfront little get-away on the Isle of Palms, Charleston, SC. Wake up in an oceanfront condominium on one of South Carolina's most beautiful beaches. Beautiful sunrise and an awesome sunset, dolphins out front in the surf. You can view all of this while keeping an eye on older kids in the pool, all from the comfort of your living room, kitchen, or balcony.
500 sq.ft. total means each room is SMALL, but the condo is 2x the size of standard hotel room.
Located in the heart of Isle of Palms, this cozy condo is perfectly positioned. You are just steps from the beach and in walking distance to the island’s best restaurants, shops, and park. This condominium complex claims the only pier on the Front Beach strand, private for your fishing or relaxation enjoyment. Free SECURE/private XFinity WIFI and digital cable TV.
*All condominiums and sea cabins are not in the same condition! Some of the condominiums and sea cabins have not been updated in many years and are not as nice and allergy-free as this unit. Ceiling and walls have all been replaced with smooth, mildew-free sheetrock and new cabinets and counters '06 (but no, not granite); all new flooring installed March '18 -wood in all main/carpet in BR. Decorated in a tropical motif, This attractive condo is situated on the second floor of the center 'B' building. The balcony affords unobstructed panoramic ocean views of the ocean. As we are in the middle bldg facing straight out (the 2 others angle in), this view is also shared from LR and kitchen. The sunset is also very nice over the entrance/ back porch area with extra space only end units have.
Do let me be clear, this complex is a 3 1/2 star resort/hotel, as we have no elevators, no desk/concierge service, and no on-site restuarant/pub (just Very close by). Also, the BR is just 8x11. The Queen bed may appear to be a double, but it is positively a Queen (leaving just 18" on each side for small tables and wakl space- not possible to do a king).
IOP is a barrier island suburb of Charleston.You are only ten miles from the Historic District of Downtown Charleston, where you can shop at the Old Market. Take in the charm of this beautiful and historic town and learn more about Charleston on a horse-drawn carriage ride, or tour Charleston Bay and Fort Sumter by boat. South Carolina Aquarium, world class restaurants and shopping, live theater, live music, museums, and more.
PRIVACY! This condo also offers individual privacy. The hall with built-in mason bunk beds (30" w, not 36") closes off to be its own private room for smaller guests with a nightlight and air/white noise machine available. top bunk is top secret hide out for kids (must replace quick-release cabinet doors if removed) The adults can then go back and forth from balcony/LR/kitchen to BR thru the seperate bathroom door without waking the kids. We are well suited for 2-4 adults 25 and over, and 5 people ONLY if some are children. 5 adults would Not be comfortable. Top of the line queen denim sleeper sofa adds extra sleeping. BR has upgraded new, medium firmness matresses. Bed linens and bath towels are provided. (Bear in mind please that 100% cotton wrinkles, and sunbathing products stain terribly. Sheets and towels are certainly guaranteed clean, but not free from such small product stains. You may certainly bring and/or rent linens from services here if preferred.)

We keep a few beach chairs & mats, a small/med cooler, and a some beach toys for guests to use. I also have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn.
You are within 2 blocks from the Banana Cabana, Ben & Jerrys, Acme Lowcountry Kitchen, The Refuge, The Sea Biscuit, Long Island Cafe, Coconut Joe's-(ok food but awesome rooftop bar), The world famous Windjammer beach bar offering up nightly entertainment, and more great restaurants/ pubs/shops, all in a plentiful but quaint beachtown commercial area of approx 3 square blocks. Historical, Boone Hall Plantation established in 1681, is only 5 miles away.
While enjoying the Island Life, you can go swimming, body surfing, play volleyball, dine at oceanfront restaurants, bike the beaches, jog, cruise the intercoastal waterway, sail, surf, windsurf, take in some live music, shop the boutiques. Check out the scuba diving or go deep sea fishing. Relax at a spa or try horseback riding. Kayak, parasail, water-ski, fish, go 'Crabin or Shrimpin,' walk the beach for shells, take a sunset cruise, charter a small boat, explore uninhabited islands, play some of the South’s finest golf courses. Sample exquisite home-made candy at Sweet Julep's Candy & Gifts, or dine at PF Changs, Longhorn Steakhouse, 5 Guys Burgers, TGI Friday's, Atlanta Bread Company, & more - there is sure to be a culinary diversion to suit your palette. After dinner, stroll the lush, tree-lined streets or relax at the luxurious Palmetto Grande 16-screen theatre. Shem Creek’s famous shrimp boats and restaurants are 10 minutes away, and the Yorktown WWII destroyer and several historical plantations are all within easy driving distance.
There are security personnel on site to ensure safety, as well as parking, beach, pool, and pier access privleges. Bikes, chairs, and beach umbrella rentals are available nearby. Shopping, dining, nightly entertainment and post office are a very short walk.
Amenities: central air/heat, cable TV in LR and BR, CD player, DVD player, VCR, hair dryer, full kitchen (including spice selection and plenty of cookware), microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, new counter tops and cabinets, 12-cup Mr. Coffee maker and filters, French press, linens included. Washer and dryer (coin operated on premises), pool, no smoking, no pets, private chef service avail. Activities (on site or nearby): Pier and pool on site, hiking, biking, golf, tennis, fishing pier, shopping, restaurants, live theater, cinemas, museums, plantations ,sightseeing, swimming, snorkeling/diving, boating, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, jet skiing, shelling.
We provide a lmited amount of start-up paper goods, soaps, etc. We provide 5 bath towels, 5 washrags, 2-3 hand towels, bath mat, and 2 kitchen towels along with bed linens. We always have some linens that get suntan oil/accelorator/ shaving nick stained after 1st/2nd use, but buy 4+ new sets per bed a year, and cannot do new ones every stay. Some guests prefer to bring their own for maximum comfort. More linens may be rented from our cleaning service or others in the area.
We have upgraded medium firmness BR mattress after some guests found the other too soft. Previous full firm one brought other complaints, so we hope it will now please all.
It is standard practice to have guests empty trash, as they may have stinky stuff (diapers, seafood shells...) which permeates the place when not cleaned for hours, or occasionally the next day.

Why Owner chose Isle of Palms
After many years managing my parent's large wonderful beachfront home that rents for $9000 a week, we invested in a Old Village rental that would be easily accessible to the beach and historic downtown, and a more affordable vacation here for smaller families/groups. Positive experiences with that rental as well motivated us to invest in a Sea Cabin. I am from this area, we live close by, and just love this location. We had stayed and loved these condos for years as a perfect one family beach/Charleston get-a-way.
What makes this Condo unique
2nd floor VIEWs are as great as 3rd floor w/out the climb. Better rates and 2 x the size of the beachfront hotels, and much bigger balcony. Renovated kitchen and bath w/ fully replaced sheetrock walls and ceilings throughout for best allergy relief. End unit shares no BR wall with neighbor, has more open panoramic balcony, plus ours has the conference room below- empty at night and 75% of daytime. ** Some smaller groups/ families may want to look at our 1BR (king bed)/1BA next door 1 mile from the beach and 6 miles to Historic Downtown, our large townhouse next door to it, and Larger family gatherings our family 6BR beachfront home listing 10624.

Quiet, clean, great location
This condo is well kept, clean, and in a great location! There are plenty of options for food within walking distance. The owner is super accommodating and responsive. We really enjoyed our time away!

We were in town for only a brief time to attend a friend's wedding. We had difficulty with the wifi but our host was quick to remedy that. . The condo was clean and well furnished for my husband and I. Located on the beach. Unfortunately the weather was quite chilly.
Thank you for your kind review and for being excellent guests! We are really bummed that the mid 70's we had most of February and early March turned chilly on our late March guests. Really unusual.
Very small. Needs updating.
Pros- beautiful view, economical, fishing pier,
Cons- very small space. We felt crowded with 3 of us. The mattress was terrible, our shoulders and hips were sore. The patio door was so hard to open- needs worked on. The WiFi did not work. I talked to the owner who said that they had it serviced the week prior. A repair man was offered to come out but we didn’t want our vacation interrupted ( we would need to be present), so we were offered the neighbors WiFi code which worked fine.
I don’t think we would stay at this property again. It needs a makeover if it wants to stay competitive.
Brand new luxury flooring installed the previous day messed up our wifi. We honored guest's request to wait to repair, and provided an alternative.
We have indeed updated, but do not prefer stainless and granite at our Lowcountry beachfront villa.
Stated in the 1st description paragraph: "500 sq.ft. total means each room is small, but the condo 2x the size of hotel room." Later stated "BR has upgraded medium firmness mattress." after complaints that previous 2 were too hard or too soft.
Please Read our description and Look at the photos. Beware!!!! If you don't like amazing views, most amenities of home but Smaller, palm trees, sun n' fun, but require stainless, granite, and uncaring owners, This is Not the place for your vacation.
We enjoyed our stay. The facility was well equipped. Nice location to the stairs. Very easily to get too.
