Our Las Palmas del Mar is a fully upgraded and remodeled ocean view 1 bedroom 1 bath family friendly unit with approximately 800 sq feet of living space. We have White Water views from our bedroom - and our Balcony which features a dining counter with Swivel Captains Chairs for outdoor entertaining. Inside you will be immediately soothed by the high end remodel which features custom Travertine Stone Floors, complemented by Granite and Stone counters, Crown Molding with contemporary paint in soothing muted tones. We have all brand new stainless steel appliances in our kitchen -and all new pots and pans and dining equipment too. We are proud of our state of the art bathroom featuring a glass bowl, top end toilet with dual flush - travertine tub surround, custom vanity with dresser drawers built into the front. Our bedroom was redone lengthening the hallway by an extra 18' and adding a door which gives privacy for up to 4 persons .. and created a walk in closet too. In the bedroom we have a sitting area with comfortable chair to enjoy the water view. We offer flat screen HD TV wall mounted for extra space and expanded cable. The living room has a top grain leather sofa, Balinese chairs opposite Balinese cube tables which are easy to move for the quick use of the wall bed. A Hunter Bahamas Palm Frond ceiling fan is at your disposal in the Living Room. Our fireplace is a legitimate heater with remote operation and thermostat control. It is customized with our 42' HD Flat Screen TV mounted above it and recessed control panel below for the DVR and a slightly raised hearth. Very dramatic and very functional. This is by far the nicest remodeled unit we have seen in at North Coast Village and the reason why we made it our own. It is family friendly with floors that are sanitized with our Shark Steam cleaning system - 99% germ free .. we sealed the stone floors this year - and our couch can be easily be wiped off. Our Balinese chairs can also be steam cleaned where/when needed. There are no sharp edges on our cube coffee tables and they are light and easy to move when you need to. We bought this unit and closed escrow in April 2011, put it into service in May and are looking forward to enjoying it ourselves in our golden years. Until then, it is avail for our guests to enjoy.

About Wayne B. Cowie

Here we are .. the Seymour sisters-circa 1979 at my airline graduation. Cindy on the left and me, Linda, on the right . We are both flight attendants for major airlines. She formerly was Western Airlines - now Delta and I was Continental - now United. We together have nearly 80 years of combined service and have stayed overnight in every imaginable good and bad hotel. We think we have a great grip on what a customer wants from their accommodations. We are service oriented and we have been partners in beach rentals since 1987. While this is the personal unit of myself, (Linda) and my husband Wayne -we operate in cooperation with Cindy and her husband Gregg to offer a total of 5 beach units all advertised on VRBO. We personally attend to each of our rentals - have maintenance and cleaning staff who are dedicated to our individual units and know them intimately. We refresh our units twice a year and maintain as tight a ship on cleanliness as is possible during a busy summer session. In winter we offer both Seasonal and short term rentals. We each have two kids - mine have now graduated from universities and hers just entering the school system as a late in life parent. We pride ourselves in being able to customize your experience to provide you with just the right amount of amenity to make your family comfortable. Almost anything can be arranged for you - from setting up the portable crib - or futon for a late arriving guest - to removing the extra equipment for our senior seasonal snowbirds to enjoy our unit without extra clutter.

We walk to everything - work out in the fitness center - enjoy the pools year round. We had the uniquely wonderful experience of hosting our oldest daughter's wedding on the grounds - in what was a spectacular October wedding.

We had a wonderful respite from the brutal Arizona sun-pounding! We explored several beaches but loved The Strand, which is also the closest. The beach cart was well employed.



We had fun trying Vietnamese Pho and Thai Table, but Rockin' Baja $3 Happy Hour Tacos were hard to beat!



Took the Surfliner train to San Juan Capistrano for a day trip and did some back to school shopping at the outlet mall in Carlsbad.

Our 15 acre complex is gated with a 24 hour uniformed patrol. Grounds are impeccably maintained with a water theme throughout. We are 5 minutes walk to the harbor and across the street from a famous 15 mile paved bike trail to the San Luis Rey Mission. Within the boundaries of our complex you will enjoy year round heated pools, fitness center, saunas, Jacuzzi's, putting green, clubhouse with billiards, multiple ping pong centers, koi ponds, BBQ pavilion and outdoor hot and cold showers. A dozen restaurants are walking distance away, mini markets and ATM machines 5 minutes by foot. Our City transportation Depot with Rail and Bus depot is a 15 minute walk at a leisurely pace with rapid transit, commuter rail and AMTRAK, all at your service. We are just a 5 minute stroll down The Strand to the famous Oceanside Municipal Pier the longest public fishing pier in California. There is a Ruby's restaurant on the end, an Amphitheater adjacent and a sport club at the base of the pier.

Perfect place to stay in Oceanside

My husband, college aged son and I stayed in the nice condo for four days in March 2016. It was exactly what we were looking for and really exceeded our expectations. The unit was so clean and comfortable. The owners were a joy to deal with and the facilities were great.

We loved being so close to the beach and the pools and hot tubs were great. Not many people staying in the property so we really had the place to ourselves.

We really enjoyed our stay and if we ever return to Oceanside I hope to stay in this unit again. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful property, relaxing space

The condo provided us the ability to relax, enjoy the beach when it was warm, and the hot tub when it turned cool. Generally well stocked with kitchen utensils and pans for cooking. Generally walking distance to downtown area off of pier.

Review of North Coast Village Condo

We stayed in the North Coast Village condo (B122) and were very impressed with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the unit. Loved the nautical theme and really cool bathroom sink. It was a great location close to both the beach and the harbor and there was plenty to do nearby within walking distance. It was also great having access to the pool and spa and the grounds were very beautiful and well maintained. The owner was very accommodating and even compensated us for an unexpected power outage. It was a home away from home and very comfortable for my husband and I and our two young adult kids that came and went during our stay. Would definitely consider returning to this cozy get away.

Excellent

We enjoyed our time at your condo in Oceanside. Weather could have been better, but we still saw lots of sun. Your place was clean and very quiet. Might suggest you consider purchasing a new toaster oven. The one you have has seen better days. We get to Southern California quite a bit, and would definitely consider staying at your place again. Thanks also for quickly responding to our phone calls.

I have checked the toaster oven and, while still serviceable, I have replaced it so that it sparkles as does the rest of the kitchen. As I mentioned to you earlier, shortly after you checked out, I went in to the condo ahead of the housekeeping crew to check on the operation of the living room TV. I saw something in the unit that I have not seen in all the years we've owned the condo. It actually looked as if the cleaning crew had already been there. The only clue I had that they hadn't been there yet was the linens you left on the floor (as instructed). Even those were arranged in an orderly fashion. The rest of the unit looked neat and orderly, dishes done and put away, our little decorating details placed appropriately, etc. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised! Thank you! We hope to see you both again next Summer.

The property is beautiful.

We had such a great time. The property was beautiful. The pool was nice. We were very close to nice beaches, and fun places to eat. It was really easy to get around. The condo was nice and had everything that we needed for our trip. Wayne was great to keep us informed of our trip and even sent us information about bike rentals. The condo was clean and felt homey. It was nice to have a safe place to park the car. The Farmers Market on Thursday was fun with a lot of food choices. We loved Ty's Burgers that is within walking distance and the Succulent Coffee shop.

The staff was also very nice and helpful.

I would very much recommend this property to a friend/relative.

The one downfall is the train that runs thru, and its loud horn, but other than that....It was great.

We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay and hope we exceeded your expectations. The trains have been passing through Oceanside and the other coastal communities to the south since the late 1800's. They facilitated the early settlement of the whole area. Subsequent to the recent increased residential development in the coastal zone, the city has been working with the railroad to create "Train Quiet Zones" to minimize the effects of the infrequent, though required warning horn signals at grade crossings. The Oceanside Transit Center is within walking distance from our condo. Many previous guests have taken the "Coaster" trains south to San Diego, as well as, taking the "Metrolink" or "Amtrak" trains north, for day trips to other parts of southern California.

Our wide sandy beach has volleyball nets, fire rings and sidewalks. We have no cliffs and good sand. Our beach is famous for short board surfing - and boogie boarding. We are bordered by Breakwater Way and many locals call us 'Breakwater Beach' every year we are featured for surfing competitions, lifeguard training camps, beach soccer, beach volleyball and more. A skateboard park is walking distance away as well. If Harbor activities appeal to you -there are boat rentals, kayak rentals, nightly sunset cruises, catamaran trips and voyages to Catalina Island . Families find us a welcome retreat as we are central to almost all the major Southern California Attractions including the Del Mar Race Track, the Del Mar Annual Fair in June - the Winter Parade of Lights at the Harbor, Temecula Wine Country, Anza Borrego Desert Flowers, The Carlsbad Factory stores, La Costa Golf Course and La Costa Spa and Fitness Center - just to name a few.
