Waikoloa Village Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5)

Hali’i Kai oceanfront homes are located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island, approximately 18 miles from the Keahole Kona International Airport. Birthplace of the great King Kamehameha I, tales of the favored status of this stretch of the island are legend. Blessed with a scant ten inches of rainfall annually, most days here are sun drenched and cooled by the breezes of Anaehoomalu Bay. Imagine gazing across the beautiful Pacific and spending your day watching whales as they frolic in our Hawaiian waters.

Hali’i Kai is the newest luxury resort at the Waikoloa Beach Resort with all the features you want, but often times impossible to find on the Kohala Coast. Hali’i Kai is a direct oceanfront complex with the attributes you are looking for in your Hawaii stay, a large resort quality oceanfront pool, pool side restaurant with bar, oceanfront fitness centre and tennis courts.

This two bedroom air conditioned condo is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished with many amenities. It has 1100 square feet of living space as well as a 125 square foot lanai overlooking the ocean. The condo can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably and is ideal for couples and families.

Experience the private amenities that Hali’i Kai has to offer. Whether it is relaxing on an aqua lounger in the pool, a golf game with friends on a Robert Trent Jones-designed course, or a romantic evening at an pool side restaurant over looking the ocean, the amenities at Hali’i Kai will fulfill your needs and desires.

Often called the Gold Coast in reference to the many luxury hotels here, the Kohala Coast has evolved into the premier resort location on the island. It is a place of contrasts black lands, green golf courses, blue ocean, rich yellow sandy beaches, tall verdant trees, and vibrant tropical flora.

About Owner/manager

We are a family that loves to travel. This will be our 8th condo...my husband tells me its time to stop!

Owner/manager purchased this condo in 2011

Why Owner/manager chose Kohala Coast

This is a five star location and seeing is believing. I knew the second I drove into the complex that I would not want to leave.

What makes this condo unique

Oceanfront pool and restaurant are a big treat. Exercising is never fun but at Halii Kai you can exercise and enjoy watching the whales arcing directly in front of you. Almost takes the pain away! The property is miticulously kept and the people are very friendly. The weather is nice all year round.

Outstanding!

We just returned to the Boston area last night after spending two incredible week's in Hali'i Kai Unit 14C. The condo was well stocked and as others have said: Peggy has thought of everything. For example, we thought we saw some dolphins offshore and wondered if there were binoculars in the sports closet...and yes, they were! Also, the condo is extremely clean and offers nice appliances, dishes and cookware. A big plus is that we didn't hear anyone else in the whole building all week! We saw lights on here and there but the place must be very well insulated/soundproofed, which is awesome! We didn't have any problems whatsoever with the condo. Very well run/maintained. A lot of attention to detail, which is much appreciated.

We loved being able to walk to the beautiful pool and bar (one building over -- less than 1 minute walk) to enjoy sunsets, fun drinks and fresh fish. Or if we were lazy, we just watched the gorgeous sunsets from our waterfront lanai! So spoiled! The staff at the restaurant/bar were extremely friendly and welcomed us every day (and seemed sad when we were leaving...nice touch! Big shout outs to Kathy and Sapphire!)

I also loved being able to walk over to the shopping area for small items, and to walk to the beaches from the Marriott up through to the Hilton. Great workout with great scenery. My husband drove up to Kawaihae several mornings to dive with the Kohala Divers. They are the best! You can also snorkel off the boat if they have space, which I've done years in the past. Also in Kawaihae, you must visit Kohala Burger and Taco, which is in a plaza a level above Kohala Divers. Best Fish Tacos Ever! I would say we had half our lunches there during our stay (we did take-out so we could eat lunch on our own beautiful lanai). Other great lunch/dinner spots: Lava Lava next to the Marriott...a two minute drive and waterfront views are stunning (sunsets there as well); and the Hau Tree, which is part of the Mauna Kea resort...apps and drinks there are great (a little expensive) but the sunsets there are gorgeous.

We would highly recommend this place if you plan to visit the Big Island.

Thanks, Peggy and family for sharing with us!

Beautiful, well appointed and wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Hali'I Kai. The condo is in a beautiful setting with water views from the master bedroom, open concept living/dining rooms and kitchen, and the lanai. It is well-appointed for preparing meals, which we enjoyed on the lanai to the sound of the waves and birds.

The location is perfect for exploring North Kohala, South Kohala, North Kona, and South Kona. We were able to see so much of the island, and enjoyed the perfect South Kohala weather and white sand beaches. We are planning a return trip in another year or two, and will be returning to Hali'I Kai.

6 GOLD STARS PLACE - Highly recommended!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what an experience. First of all, I would like to start saying that this was our first trip to Hawai'i Big island. We are a family of 4 and this condo was PERFECT for our needs. The place is very well maintained and we liked the gated community access. The unit 14C is one of the best in the entire complex, due to it's location (ocean front view from the lanai) and proximity to the pool/restaurant/workout room.

The condo is simply a home away from home and we immediately felt comfortable. Our teenage children loved the lanai and the salt water pool with the restaurant and my husband could not get enough of the Jacuzzi with the therapeutic crushed rocks. There were a fair amount of people at the pool in the evening, but after 7 pm most of the people would be gone. The bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable matrices!!! I really liked the idea of a squeegee to remove the hard water from the shower door, and guess what...I bought 2 squeegee for my own shower door since it is way faster to remove the water and leave the door clean after each shower...so THANK YOU for this suggestion, it really helped us as well.

Now, we ended up eating at the pool restaurant almost every evening. Let me tell you that the food was EXCELLENT!!! Nowhere on the big Island the food is better. I was obsessed with Ahi Poke, but my children and husband tried mostly all the food, which was great as well. The drinks were fabulous as well, and the happy hour from 2-5 pm was a plus ;).

I have to say, that we might consider returning back to this place if we'll ever visit Hawai'i again! We usually don't go to the same country/island twice for vacation, but this really impressed us.

So thank you for the opportunity, we really enjoyed our stay!!!

Lovely ocean view and immaculate condo at Halii Kai

  • 5 of 5

This is our 4th visit to Halii Kai and our second time to condo 14C. The location of 14C is stellar - just steps from the lovely pool and restaurant/bar (Halii Kai is a long narrow property so many condos require a drive to the pool). The view is terrific and we enjoyed sitting on our lanai each morning drinking coffee and watching the ocean. This visit was in June but when we came in January there were several whales visibly breaching from the lanai each morning.

Inside the condo is very well maintained and stocked. There were even things like ziploc bags and a fresh bag of coffee in addition to beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, games and puzzles! The condo was very clean and organized when we arrived and everything was in its place. Peggy is very responsive to any needs or requests in a timely manner.

The location of Halii Kai is nice - right in Waikoloa and near A-Bay beach, the Queens shops and Kings Shops. There is plenty to do there and lots of great restaurants to eat at. Or stay home and cook food from the nearby Waimea farmers market in the full sized kitchen and outdoor lanai BBQ. We enjoyed a snorkel trip leaving right from A-Bay beach and we saw a pod of dolphins, dinner at the Lava Lava Beach club at sunset and the many beautiful nearby beaches such as Hapuna Beach and Waialea.

This condo is also a great value as Peggy includes everything in the rental price (no add ons like resort fees or parking, etc. that some of the other units or hotels charge nearby). The pool is very nice and we enjoyed several beautiful sunsets from the deck while there. The staff at the pool are also very friendly and helpful and the food and drinks are good and reasonably priced (well, for Hawaii at least :)).

I would totally recommend Halii Kai and specifically #14C to anyone. The location is great, the condo is beautiful, clean, well-maintained and stocked, quiet and has a lovely view! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
