Si quieres estar en el corazón de la ciudad y caminar a cualquier lado, este es el lugar. Está en el primer bloque, pasos a la arena y pasos a cualquier restaurante o bar. Justo al lado de Catalina Island Conservancy es tan fácil si quieres un recorrido o evento. Dos bonitas cubiertas, puedes tomar una copa y disfrutar de las vistas o observar a la gente. Todo recién renovado, bonito todo. Sonido completo junto con pantalla plana bluray y base para mp3. Técnicamente es un apartamento de una habitación, pero es de 1100 pies cuadrados con dos euroloungers que se despliegan y todas las sábanas y toallas incluidas. Este es un lugar divertido para ir y te encantará, a nosotros nos encanta.

If you use the toys kayaks etc. brush the sand off of them before you put them away. Please leave the toy room in better condition than you found it. The Maids don't clean the toy room so thanks for helping with that. Please be respectful with noise. No parties are allowed. Never allow other people to be in the house without you being present.

Great spot not far from harbor - perfect for couple or small family looking for a cozy and comfortable, centrally located home. Toy/bike room was a big plus for enjoying the island !

Another great trip to Avalon, love this place. Excellent communication with Marty on a small glitch, he responded immediately and solved the problem within minutes. Most of the rentals here are 50-100 years old, so remodeling that is done well is a must. This place is done beautifully.

We had an excellent stay! The location couldn’t be more perfect for exploring Avalon! The double balconies with sea view were a nice bonus. The house is very well appointed for relaxing, cooking and even watching movies. Very Clean and comfortable. Marty had excellent communication and was a very welcoming and helpful host. I really couldn’t recommend his place more!

Hands down the best property I’ve ever rented in Catalina Island. The combination of cleanliness, responsiveness from the owner, location and the toy room with bikes, kayak, SUPs, etc, made up a great experience. As a couple we were there for 5 nights and enjoyed it throughly. Looking forward to going back. Marty, you were a great host, thank you!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The location is perfect, right downtown in the hustle and bustle. Marty, the host, is absolutely wonderful. He communicates quickly and makes sure to answer any questions! He is accomodating and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. The toys available to use made our trip even better. The cleanliness of the house is always appreciated. The balconies were a great place to start your day with a cup of coffee and end your day with a nice cocktail or mocktail. We will be back and I will be recommending this location to all my friends and family!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean. There was a front balcony to sit on and we love the proximity about a half a block from the water. The owner was very responsive. It’s right along the main road so you’re not in a quiet neighborhood, but that didn’t bother us. We loved all the toys! Standup paddleboard, bikes, beach chairs. Our favorite restaurant was the lobster trap. Delicious seafood.

Amazing time at the Yellow house! It was perfect location literally seconds from the beach and down town. Marty was quick and efficient with response time — made check in and check out very easy an accommodating. Tons of beach toys! Loved having the deck top and bottom! Felt like home away from home. Bed is super comfortable. We are going to make it our yearly place to stay! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Fantastic Stay

Loved it! Marty went above and beyond in making our stay perfect. Great location, great place! Slept four comfortably. And having all the beach toys really made it great. Chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, etc. Would love to stay again!

Ideal Location, Wonderful Place

This is my 2nd stay at the Big Yellow House. I brought my mom who had never been to Avalon before for a few days during the week. Communication with the owner couldn't have been easier and he let me know that we could check in early on Monday, which was great since the boat arrived around 11AM and official check-in was 1PM, if I recall. I loved how close the home was to everything -- an easy walk to restaurants, shops, sites, beach. The home comes with bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel equipment -- anything you might want for a beach getaway. The house has 2 baths and 2 showers which are great -- each are on different floors. The only sort of funky thing about the place is its layout. It is basically 2 floors (the ground floor being rented by a Ghost Tours company). The first floor is the small kitchen, a little dining table w/high chairs and bathroom with separate shower; the floor above serves as the living room, bedroom and bath/shower. The kitchen has a sofa-bed in it, and the living room also has a sofa-bed. So, technically you could sleep 6 but you'd be crowded. It was fine for a couple or parents/child but would probably not be ideal for two couples or a group of friends.

Yellow House Haven

The yellow house is such a cute rental. I loved the Spanish tiles and all the little sea plane touches. We came for diving and the location was perfect - just a 10 minute (if that long) stroll along the coast live over looking the harbor. The everything you could need (food, shops, water sports, drug store, etc) is incredibly walkable. Marty, the property manager was incredible - he’s timely, responsive, and respectful. We can’t wait to vacation here again.

In the center of the action.

The property was a very short walk to the ferry. The toy storage room had everything you could ever want for the beach. All the windows in the bedroom had blackout curtains and double pained windows to block out all the noise from the gas powered golf carts. And the A/C was nice on hot days!

The Yellow House was everything and more! We had the best time and the house provided everything we needed. The toy closet is beyond stocked, house accommodated the four of us perfectly and we walked EVERYWHERE!! Can’t beat it!!
