Oceanfront Cottage on Frenchman Bay-Private Beach-Acadia National Park 2250.00wk

Bedrooms 2
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

'Beau Se Jour' cottage was designed to be reminiscent of the shingle style cottages which have always been unique to Maine's seacoast.

Sunfilled rooms are tastefully decorated with vintage wicker, hooked rugs, and nautical accessories. Birch bark railings, a gas stone fireplace, and a moose-horn chandelier give this cottage a distinctive look and feel of an earlier time.

Enjoy relaxing on the comfortable, large eat-in screened porch with panoramic ocean and mountain views.

This beautiful setting is perched on Frenchman Bay, and has breathtaking views of Cadillac Mountain and Acadia National Park.

A rare opportunity to enjoy a private beach for swimming, clam digging, and long walks along the endless shore.

About Laura

We love Maine and know you will too! We will do our best to make your vacation in the Acadia Region special so that you go home with many wonderful memories.

We want you to feel at home and enjoy all that Downeast Maine offers, most especially the crown jewel; Acadia National Park, which is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2016. We invite you to come visit and explore a most special place in America.

During the cold, short days of winter, our thoughts turn to warm, sunny days... if you want a wonderful getaway unlike most others, we invite you to come visit our Tropical Island, Gulf front Cottage on "Little Gasparilla Island" in Southwest Florida.

Come explore the magical, barrier island accessible only by private boat (Or water taxi).

No stores, roads, cars or distractions other than the beautiful gulf, pristine white sandy beach, shells, sharks teeth and magnificent sunsets, (unlike any you have seen before).

You will almost feel as thought the island were your own as it is peaceful, quiet and most of all, unspoiled. Come experience Florida like you have never done before.

Our property is also on VRBO and if you would like to take a look, the property # is: 157312

We welcome you to both our Oceanfront Cottage in Maine and our Gulf front Cottage on Little Gasparilla Island.

Camp Beau Se Jour

  • 5 of 5

I can not say enough nice things about our stay at Camp Se Jour. It exceeded our expectations from the moment we pulled into the secluded driveway. The cottage is something straight out of a magazine. The view of the bay was one of my favorite things. Whether it was drinking our morning coffee or stargazing, we spent a lot of time outside enjoying this serene property. We were so fascinated watching the difference between high and low tide. The owners are above and beyond helpful. From the moment I was interested in this property, pre-trip, during our trip and post trip we were given so many tips and there is a great deal of information provided in the cottage from hikes, boat tours, restaurants, rental companies etc. We loved staying in this quiet cottage. Even though we had to do some driving, we were so happy to come "home" from a busy day and get away from the crowds and crowded streets of Bar Harbor. If you need a place to get away from it all and surround yourself by the beauty of nature, this is the place to be!!!

We could not have been more pleased with this rental. Lovely spacious cottage with a fantastic view overlooking the bay. Sitting outside watching the sunrise was a lovely way to start our day. The cottage has such a welcoming feel to it. Midway through our week we were sight seeing and I remember saying "Let's go home now". That is how this cottage feels, like home.

Anything you should need is here. The fireplace is the feature I enjoyed the most. It is gas so no dealing with wood or smoke. The kitchen is well supplied and open. The bedrooms are large and the beds comfortable. The full wall of windows overlooking the bay is another beautiful feature. I was also so pleased at how clean the house was.

The owners are so easy to work with and lovely people. If we should ever be in this area again we will certainly be back! Thank you Laura and Robert!

The Beau Se Jour cottage was terrific in every respect. As good as or better than we had hoped .

Anyone looking for a very scenic cottage with solitude, privacy and great views of the bay could not do better. The cottage location, design and decor are a combination of up-scale Northwoods and seaside features. It is close enough to the city of Bar Harbor to be convenient but not near the traffic and other city noises. We have traveled in all 50 states and all over the world and would be hard-pressed to identify a rental place that pleased us more. By the way, Laura was very accommodating and friendly.

Wow. What a comfortable and peaceful cottage!

We ventured from So. California to spend the first 2 weeks of October (2016) for fall foliage and the local lobster. This cottage was a perfect choice. First, the owners were very easy to work with and extremely helpful with directions and what activities are in the area. The cottage was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom windows looked out on the Frenchman Bay. In the morning, while in bed, you can see sunrise. And at night you see see the stars through the skylights. I really appreciated the reading lights by the very comfortable king bed (plenty of pillows for reading in bed). The steam shower was a real treat after a full day of touring Acadia (and those chilly mornings!).

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. Even pots to boil lobster (it is so easy to buy lobster, we didn't bother). We did steam purchased clams. The stove / oven worked well. We used the oven and made baked apples multiple times.

Soap, laundry soap and plenty of towels were provided. The clothes washer and dryer are new, and it was nice to do some laundry as needed. The fire place was very efficient warming up the cottage and relaxing. The whole front of the cottage has window view of Frenchman Cove, and looking towards Bar Harbor.

The drive to Mount Desert Island/Acadia Park was an easy drive. The fall foliage was just amazing. What a wonderful stay we had. I highly recommend this cottage for a wonderful visit to Acadia National Park.

Beau Se Jour Cottage, Lamoine, ME

What a delight! The cottage was positively charming and the bay view was amazing especially at night with the moon's reflection! The kitchen was complete and there was even a washer & dryer. We enjoyed coffee on the screened-in porch taking in the view of Frenchman's Bay every morning. We hiked on MDI everyday and it was such a treat to come back to this hideaway to relax in the evening. Its a treasure!
