Tranquil View Cottage & Cabin, Pet Friendly with Wifi

2 bedrooms (1 in Cottage, 1 in detached Cabin) plus extra sleeping options on peaceful & pet friendly acre near Acadia with fast Wifi, serene views to Ripples Pond (a wildlife sanctuary) and a fenced-in backyard. Roomy single-level cottage has a comfy California King mattress & 3 sleeper futons/sofas, with a full kitchen, full bathroom, and laundry. NOTE: the detached Cabin is only open May 1-Oct 31. Cabin has a tasteful tiny-home feel with kitchenette, bathroom, and Queen bed. Beyond the fenced-in backyard is a nature path to a private hammock and chill spot by Ripples Pond (view only, but just 1/2 mile away is Long Pond for swimming, canoe & kayak rental). Backyard includes grill & firepit. Tranquility awaits! NOTE: Cabin only open May-Oct. and has ceiling & box fans but no A/C.

Start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
No penalty if missed (unless dog poo found) but please bag ALL trash & recycling and put into bin by the road; put ALL hand/dish/regular towels into Washer and Start it, same with dishes to Dishwasher
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Pick up after pets. No trespassing beyond property lines - particularly, the hammock area is the boundary line towards Ripples Pond.

We loved our stay here! The proximity to Acadia was excellent and the tranquility of the property was unmatched. The house was private, clean, and very comfortable! We’d love to stay here again on our next Acadia adventure.

The house was comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. The fenced yard was wonderful for the dogs. I would have appreciated a checkout list of chores before leaving, but Peter was great about answering our texts immediately. We had a lovely time on the beautiful porch in the evening! It was a great stay so close to Acadia National Park

Peter's Acadia cottage is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. A short scenic drive to anywhere on the island. I would recommend staying here if you are looking into spending time at Acadia but want your own little oasis Peter is a great host and so accommodating! 10/10!!

We have dogs so this property was perfect for us. The property has a fenced in yard for the pups which was great for our little family. Our daughter (aged 24) had the little cabin all to herself which she really enjoyed. We had all the pots, pans, dishes, towels, etc. that we needed and then some. The property is centrally located so we were never too far from destinations we wanted to explore. Our host Peter was always quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. Beds were super comfortable with extra blankets available. Overall we had a wonderful stay. The main road can get a little busy (some people drive WAY too fast!) but we never really heard any traffic noise. We would definitely go back given the opportunity!

This property was fantastic, and it is clear a lot of thought went into hosting. We walked in and immediately noticed fresh flowers. The kitchen is well-appointed and has essentials such as olive oil, salt, and pepper. The screened in porch is awesome, and looks over woods with water in the background. The cabin is a fun addition. It is cozy but not cramped and has a useful kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Peter was quick to respond whenever we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Great spot, well maintained and so clean!

We loved this property, especially with the cabin option perfect while travelling with my family and mom. She loved having her own cozy space! The house was incredibly clean, and provided a lot of amenities. Totally recommend for a small group!

Guest made zero complaints during their stay, and in fact thanked me for fast responses to their few questions, so unsure why this was not a 5 star review. They requested a last minute late checkout which could not be accommodated due to incoming guests checking in on the same day. But that shouldn't be held against the host or property. Wish them well and safe travels

Central to the whole island, the location is just so convenient for any adventure you may wish to partake in on a given day. The serene views to Ripples Pond sealed the deal, and as dog lovers we greatly appreciated the sunny fenced in backyard :)

What makes this property unique

Tranquility is the best word to describe this special property thanks to its views over Ripples Pond and proximity to some of my personal favorite locations on the island: Beech Hill Mountain and Long Pond. The pet friendly vibes and spare Cabin help it feel private yet communal in nature... just perfect for sharing with visitors and guests.
