About the property

Bahia Mar 973 is a beautifully restored three-bedroom and three bath condominium. We are located in Building 9 Close to the BIG pool and just a leisurely 60 second stroll to the beach.

This condominium has two levels. We placed our master suite on the first level with a king bed and an en suite bath (shower/tub combo) and private balcony. The beautifully furnished and decorated first level has a large second bedroom with two queen beds, en suite bath (shower/tub combo). Our third bedroom is on the second level with 2 full beds in the form of bunks plus a trundle bed. The bath for the third bedroom also has a shower tub combo.

There are coin-op laundries in the Bahia Mar. To get down to the beach, just go down stairs and you are just a 60 second walk from digging your toes into the soft, warm sand. Volley ball nets are set on the beach seasonally as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals. During the peak season, Jet Ski rentals and banana boat rides are available.

Let me tell you about the kitchen! It is a modern fully equipped with warm inviting granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Plates, knives, forks, spoons, drinking glasses, pots, pans, pasta strainer, can opener, cork screw, cheese grater, plastic mixing bowls, blender, toaster, microwave, dishtowels and many more items too numerous to mention. One of the best features that we office is 24/7 professional management services of Padre Island Rentals. If you ever feel that you need an item that is not provided or is missing, or if any situation comes up during your stay that requires attention, we have a phone number that our guests can call 24 hours a day and speak to a live human being whose only job is to help make your vacation the best it can possibly be.. We do it because know that family leisure time is precious.

We only stayed 2 nights but that was enough at this condo. We have been visiting SPI for the last 30 years and have stayed at many different condos; but this was the first and last time we will stay at these condos. The rules were too strict. Having to wear a wristband the whole time was very uncomfortable and not good for tanning. Every time my granddaughter hugged me I was scratch by this band. Also not allowing visitors is a little extreme and the limit of vehicles. I feel like the rules should change a little when it's not high peak season. The first night we got there we had an uninvited visitor crawling up the master bedroom wall. That wasn't the only one; it had plenty of friends throughout the night. We called management but it was after closing. They did send out someone to spray but we didn't want them to spare to much since we were going to be sleeping soon and didn't want the smell to overcome us. The spay wasn't strong enough because we kept seeing more cockroaches (BIG). Very upsetting. Other things we were very disappointed with: Lights in stairways were out and we had a young child and elder person with us. We almost fell since we couldn't see at night going up and down the stairs. The upstairs room was extremely hot since it didn't have its own thermostat; dust on the walls leading to the upstairs. The bunk bed was too close to the ceiling fan (very dangerous) NO WIFI, No toilet paper holder in master bathroom; no washer and dryer. The kitchen wasn't equipped with much. No salt and pepper shakers. Thought coffee would be provided since they had a coffeemaker. No drain holders for the sink. Ice maker wasn't working and the refrigerator was not complete including a broken light. The sofa was in such bad condition when we sat on it the back of our clothes would be covered in whatever was coming off of the sofa. This particular condo is facing the bay with not very good views. I believe it may be one of the furthest condos from the beach. It is a good walk to the beach. The good points about this place is the pools were nice and clean; liked the furniture by the beach. The master bedroom was extremely roomy. Staff was friendly.

Check in upon arrival at Padre Island Rentals, 3100 Padre Blvd. at the corner of Padre Blvd. and Kingfish, 1 3/4 miles north of the bridge on the right side of the road one block north of the Blue Marlin Supermarket.

After checking in and receiving your parking permit make a right onto Padre Blvd. The Bahia Mar Resort, 6300 Padre Blvd (on the right hand side of Padre Blvd.), is less than 2 miles from our Office. Unit #983 is located on the north side of the Bahia Mar Resort. Turn into the north entrance and drive pass the hotel tower towards the beach. The condominium buildings are numbered, #973 is in building 9 on the third floor.
