About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Lousy Weather Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Despite the rain and strong winds on some of our days we really enjoyed this property. Our group of 6 adults and 3 kids had plenty of space to both enjoy time together and have private time. The kids really enjoyed the playroom under the garage. My wife and I enjoyed the master bedroom with its view of Haystack Rock. We all enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Despite the rain we enjoyed day trips to Mt St Helens, Agate Beach, Eco State Park and Long Beach. We had other areas and hikes planned and will come back to complete them. We will definitely stay here when we do.

The kitchen was will stocked and met our needs. We prepared all of our breakfasts and most of our suppers.

Thank you

Deferred maintenance with a lovely view: renter beware

  • 1 of 5

The pictures look good on the website, but our experience wasn't as pretty, sadly. The heat didn't work for the first 24 hours we were there, and we learned that the heat pump was a pile of rust: we were running on emergency heat, which caused the breakers to kick off and overheat. The BBQ was rusty and unusable, the carpeting needs to be replaced and if you like to cook, be sure to bring your own utensils, pots/pans, mixing and serving bowls and essentially everything you need. Or just plan to pick up a pizza because trying to cook was difficult with the old, broken and scanty kitchen equipment that was on hand. Parking is limited: the steep, narrow driveway accomodates only one large SUV and an SUV won't fit in the garage (small cars are fine) so we had to park on the street, a hike away. For the price, we found it to be very disappointing indeed. The view was lovely, but we won't rent again.

Owner's Response: We sincerely apologize for the heating problem this guest experienced while here. The heat pump has been replaced, the furnace is functioning perfectly, and the breaker problem has been resolved. There is some surface rust on the BBQ due to the close proximity to the ocean. The carpet is only a year old and recently shampooed. The Property Manager inspected the kitchen inventory and found the home to be well stocked with various cooking utensils, multiple pots and pans, several mixing/serving bowls, cookie sheets, cutting boards, etc., and all were found to be in good condition. Thank you!

Deferred maintenance issues with a fantastic view

  • 3 of 5

On the plus side, the views are incredible. The house is roomy with lots of stairs and levels, places for everyone to spread out and get comfortable. On the minus side, it is located on the main drag, Hemlock, so parking is limited and parking large SUVs are a problem. You can't get them in the garage and only one big SUV or pickup can park in the steep driveway, so you have to park on Hemlock. If you like to cook, bring your own pots and pans because the supply is limited, and it is cheap stuff. The biggest problem we had was the heat. It wouldn't work the first night (the breaker kept kicking off and was very hot) and we figured out that the heat pump is rusted out and it runs only on emergency heat. They got it running Saturday afternoon, but it was frustrating for what we paid for the house. We didn't use the BBQ because it rusty and old. My overall feeling was that it wasn't worth what we paid, as the house needs some serious attention, restocking, replacing and not being so cheap with things like dishwashing soap (you get 4 tablets for 4 days).

Fabulous house in a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

So we are already planning our return trip to this lovely, comfortable home house - with the amazing location and unparalleled view. The house is very well set up for a group such as ours - two families with teens. Plenty of space to get away from each other and come together as well. The hot tub was well used, beach was very easy to access and downtown was a 15-20 min walk- and less than 5 min drive.
