Winding down a secluded private drive is this unique home beautifully sited on the Kennebunk River, named the River House. The home is surrounded by 750’ of tidal River frontage with views from almost every room. The private dock looks across the River to the famous Cape Arundel Golf Course (public can play after 2pm). Enjoy swimming or fishing off the private dock. The dock is also able to accommodate up to a 14 foot power boat for cruising up and down the river or heading out into the channel that empties into the Atlantic Ocean less than a mile up river. We offer 3 kayaks, a canoe, and 3 SUPs for River exploring and 8 bicycles for a ride to the beach or around town. The fully landscaped yard has many private spaces to enjoy. Relax on the porch rockers, chaise lounge chairs located on two stone patios, or the hammock. Take a turn on the good old fashioned tire swing which brings out the kid in all of us. Alternatively, you can unwind at the two fire pits. Best yet, no matter what you choose, you'll be overlooking the River.
The interior is perfect for families and gatherings. There is a large gourmet kitchen with a fireplace and a large butlers pantry boasting a second set of appliances including an oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The dining room has a large farm table that can seat 10+. The family room is over-sized and great for lounging and opens through french glass doors to the living room that has a gas fireplace. The master bedroom suite and 1st floor guest room, each with full bath, is on the first floor overlooking the water affording stunning views of the sunrise to start the day. The spaces are bright and sun washed to take total advantage of the beautiful views of the changing tides and wildlife.
The second floor has 3 bedrooms, all with a view to the water, two full baths, as well as a large sitting area with a desk.
There is a full game room on the lower basement level, with a LIFE SIZE Scrabble board, Flat Screen TV, Darts, Board Games, WII and XBOX 360, and corn hole.

Also included is an outdoor gas grill, wireless internet and 4 Smart TV’s .

We provide beach parking passes to all the Kennebunk beaches including Gooches and Mothers beaches. This house is also the perfect starting point for biking trips to Cape Porpoise pier, Goose Rocks beach, Biddeford Pool, Kennebunkport, and the Kennebunk beaches. Our location is perfect for biking to town or to venture out to the more rural areas. A bike ride on Ocean Ave to Walkers Point, the summer home of President George Bush, is a local favorite.
Kennebunkport affords excellent shopping, world class restaurants, museums and charming coffee shops and wine bars and craft breweries. The Kittery outlets, the city of Portland ME , and Portsmouth NH are only a short 30 minute drive. A 45 minute drive to the L.L. Bean's flagship store in Freeport is the perfect way to spend a rainy day.

The area offers a wealth of outdoor activities including surfing and paddle boarding. Lessons are offered by local companies. There are several outdoor tour companies that offer group and weekly rates. You can also rent a small boat to fish for the abundant coastal stripers. There are areas known for surf casting offering quiet solitude. A 3 hour excursion on the local sailing schooner is a fun way to take in the views from the water and they offer a beautiful sunset cruise as well.
For the dedicated exercise enthusiast there is early morning bootcamp and yoga offered outdoors on the Kennebunk beaches. There are several fitness facilities close by and a brand new spinning and yoga studio a short walk away in lower village.
