Bedroom 1st floor window seemed unsecured. We were asked not to open the screen door & had no access to the patio.

Host took so long to confirm the booking that I started to look elsewhere. When host finally confirmed, we were directed to a completely different property a mile away. We checked in but the next day; a rep for the host came banging on the door (literally) saying we were in the wrong condo & had to move. Our need for the rental was a sensitive situation as is so this was turning into a mess. Ultimately, they didn’t make us move. Day 2, in error, we locked ourselves out. Reached out to the host who didn’t respond for a while then said he/she had no spare keys and were calling a locksmith, and asked for approval for the charge. We were stuck, had no options, and the stay was already on day 2 of another issue. Communication was not good from the initial booking; and we were relieved to leave at the end. Have to say that the condo was nice, clean and a nice location. It was just more bad communication and drama that wasn’t necessary.

HVAC not as expected / unwanted guest

We stayed in this unit in the middle of September, so 100+ degree temperatures. The AC worked, but not well because it was SO LOUD. It is located in the middle of the unit, so if you are in the bedroom, you can not hear what is going on in the living room because its so loud. It also does not work properly because in the bedroom there is a portable AC unit on the floor. It was the type that sits on the floor and connects to blow air out of the window. It took up extra space, and it felt unsafe because the window is not locked to blow air out. Fans were provided everywhere else, but it was unexpected and I probably wouldn't have booked knowing I would hear the noise all weekend. Upon arrival I noticed the unit is on the first floor, and its the first unit off of the street. At 3am on Friday we had someone trying to get into the unit! We were asleep on the sofa couch, had we slept in the bedroom, we would not have heard because of the loud HVAC. He tried entering in the code which was terrifying. My husband answered and explained that this was not his unit, but he was drunk and kept trying to come in. He tried three times, and eventually gave up, but I mention this as a mom - the unit is the first floor unit right off of the street, so that combined with the bedroom window unsecure (due to the portable AC mentioned above) did not make me feel safe with my kids. I couldn't sleep thinking of this drunk man getting in the bedroom window where my kids were sleep.
