Our newly-expanded two-home Serenity Lake Vista is a peaceful rural retreat tucked on a gentle slope alongside Lower Scott Lake in Allegan County, just 12 miles from the charming coastal Lake Michigan town of South Haven. This comfortable dual-home retreat features two cottages separated by a small yard area. The larger "headliner" home with full kitchen and all-new LVT flooring in all common spaces features both a breakfast nook where you can sip your favorite brew and an island where you can prepare anything from a snack to a 4-course meal. The cozy kitchen opens into the inviting living room area with a sweeping lake view where you can warm your toes in front of the electric fireplace while watching your favorite movie on our large-screen (55") satellite-connected TV with DVD player. Gather in the dining room around our new custom 20-person dining table to share that special meal with loved ones, or just spend time together playing your favorite games if the weather keeps you indoors. You will find four total bedrooms in this main house: one queen, one king, one private king master bedroom suite with both a step-in shower and jacuzzi tub, and a kids' bedroom including 2 sets of bunk beds (bottom bunks are full-sized futon mattresses), in addition to another 2.5 bathrooms. Outside, you will find a sprawling lakeside deck with a large dining area and a gas grill, a lakeside fire pit with seating, an 8-person hot tub with pergola (available all year), front yard lake access which includes a private beach with a private dock and free use of our two (2) kayaks, plus a back deck with a small seating area. Inside our brand-new "sequel" cottage, which is under construction during winter 2023/2024, you will find an open living area with game tables along with some seating and a large-screen TV, plus a small dining set with kitchenette. Surrounding the living area will be four bedrooms, including 3 with ensuite bathrooms. This home will feature 4 total bathrooms, 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, 1 full/double bedroom, and 1 bedroom with 2 sets of twin bunk beds. Make our homes your next great escape!
Note: Your private beach with dock and two kayaks (2) is located right in your front yard!

Use of our two (2) kayaks free with the home. We also offer rental of more reasonably-priced kayaks ($25/day), by the day or week; reservation & pre-payment are required; a $100 minimum rental applies.
Other types of local boat rental options may be available--please ask for details. The public boat launch is located on the other [southwest] side of the lake.
Note: Dock, Watercraft, Grill & Outdoor Dining Furniture Are Not Available From Oct 25-Apr 15. Our Hot Tub is Always Available, Even in Winter.

The Neighborhood:
Our newly expanded two-home Serenity Lake Vista is tucked away on a quiet, partially-wooded 2.6-acre lakefront lot on Lower Scott Lake in Lee Township, Michigan. Come enjoy spring, summer, and fall in peaceful rural Michigan. Summer brings the fun of boating, swimming, picnicking, and relaxing. The autumn colors are spectacular around the lake and in the surrounding area. Spring brings the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting to life, invigorating your soul and mind after the long winter.
The cottage is 10-15 minutes away from Crane's Orchards and Dutch Farms, famous for delicious pies and fruit picking. On the way to the orchards you will find Fennville Winery, offering tours and wine tastings. If you like antiquing, it does not get better than this - there are many antique stores within 20 minutes, either in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, and Saugatuck or along Blue Star Highway. In the summer dune rides are a blast and the South Haven beaches are gorgeous. Go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and apples in nearby orchards. Art galleries in the area offer a wonderful selection to take home as souvenirs. Take your own kayaks to different lakes and rivers, but don't forget your paddles and life jackets!
The home sits right on Lower Scott Lake, a tranquil 115-acre spring-fed lake, with your own private beach with dock and kayaks.
Lower Scott Lake is only about 15 minutes from downtown South Haven or Saugatuck, and just 25 minutes from Holland.
Getting Around:
You will need a car to see the best that Southwest Michigan has to offer.

Cellular pocket Wi-Fi is provided by AT&T, the best area internet service provider. They only offer limited speeds so more than a few connected devices at a time will cause lag. We provide satellite TV since video streaming is not an option.
Parties: Loud Parties With Excessive Alcohol/Drug Use Are Not Allowed. All Drinking Games Are Prohibited. We Ask That Nothing Be Stuck To Our Walls Since This Will Damage The Paint. Use of Tinsel, Glitter, Confetti, Feathers, Etc., is Not Welcomed Since They Leave A Mess That Is Very Hard & Time-Consuming for Our Very Small Staff To Clean Up. Note: If You Have A Wild Party, We Will Call The Police & Have You Removed From Our Property.
Township-Mandated Quiet Hours Are From 10 PM-8 AM Daily.
No EV Charging, Smoking, Fireworks, Vaping, Marijuana Use, or Pets/Animals. No Exceptions.
