Welcome to the Sandcastle of South Haven! Talk about perfect location - this 7 bedroom 7 bath is just one block West from Dyckman Beach and one block East of South Haven`s `downtown`. AND it has a heated inground pool in its backyard! (Shared pool). Completely renovated and each room decorated with it`s own theme!

Sit back, relax & enjoy being in the heart of South Haven.



Each themed room has their own bathroom, natural gas fireplace and balcony. Enjoy the wrap around porch in the evening after a fun filled day on the beach and exploring South Haven while you relax with a nice drink, play games, or just take a nap. Home comes with dedicated 10 parking spaces for the home and a shared pool with the next door condos. Brand new gas grill on the side and plenty of amenities to make sure you have everything you need. Main level bedroom is ADA compliant and kitchen is fully stocked with your cooking needs of items.

The Sandcastle of South Haven is an exceptional location with convenient access to a wide range of local attractions. The beach is just steps from the front door, and a scenic park is situated directly across the street. The property is also within easy walking distance to the heart of town, making it simple to explore everything South Haven has to offer. The host was outstanding—always responsive and helpful, ensuring our family had a memorable experience.

Kitchen great for cooking. Big table for playing cards. Dining chairs a little uncomfortable for bigger people. Plenty of room and some, for 8 of us. Nice porch for sitting outside. Beach within walking distance to watch the sunsets. Did not use pool but someone from condos nearby did. All in all, a nice stay and we have stayed at plenty of rentals over the years.

Great location for a large multigenerational vacation. Shared pool is a plus. Spent most of our time enjoying wraparound deck and letting kids play in yard when not swimming or at beach two blocks away. Comfortable beds. Great to not share bathrooms. Ceiling fans and A/C. Great kitchen dining space and plenty of off street parking for everyone.Very attentive rental agency.

Family vacation

The location of this property was amazing! It was nice to be able to walk to the beach, to a bakery, a park, to town and multiple restaurants especially with a large group. We had 5 kids under the age of 5 so it made it very convenient for naps etc. The en-suite bathrooms were great. We enjoyed the pool with the kids. The front porch was a great hangout space.

Loved our stay at Sandcastle!

Great house with plenty of room for our large family! Front porch and pool were our favorite spots along with the short walk to the beach and downtown. Hope to head back next summer!

Amazing Family Size Accommodation with great pool, close to beach and town.

This is a rare find with 7 bedrooms and 7 baths less than two blocks from the beach and 10 minute walk to town. Porches are great for family gathering and kitchen is large and well equipped. Pool is fun for children and familys.

Wonderful place to stay

This house is a perfect location for going to the beach and to town. Everything is within walking distance. The pool area including the bathroom was very clean. Mandy was very easy to contact.

Perfect Family Reunion

We filled every room with our family reunion for 4 nights. Host managers communicated very well and even came over to reset the washer/dryer gfi. Location is ideal between the beach and the town.

Family reunion

Well appointed home in a good location in South Haven. Having a dedicated bathroom for each bedroom was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the large front porch to talk, laugh & play games.

Family Friendly

Wonderful location between the beach and downtown. Close to everything you need including a convenience store and rental shop. Amazing set up for multiple couples and groups. Newly updated features and set up for all your needs during your stay. We can’t wait to return!

Awesome Family Vacation

I cannot say enough about this wonderful property. It is well worth the price. It is very spacious, clean, and in a great location (very close to the beach. The quality of construction and interior decorations are top of the line. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back again.

Sandcastle Dreams

This is a lovely property which is perfect for large gatherings of family and/or friends. The property managers were friendly and responsive. The property was exactly as pictured. We had traveled from across the US for a family wedding and this was the perfect place to gather, relax and recharge.

The front porch is so inviting

My family really enjoyed staying at the sandcastle. The location is great. just a short walk 2-3 blocks from beach and close proximity to downtown was ideal. We really enjoyed the front porch. The pool is small but except for the weekend it wasn’t crowded. The only reason I didn’t give the rental a perfect review was that the floors while they appeared clean, our crawling granddaughter had dirty knees and feet. Overall a great choice!

Sandcastle getaway

It was great. The home is in a great location we loved staying there. A few items could have made it better - the carpeting is very dirty made our feet turn dark colors and could use a deep clean other than a vacuum and the front porch is in need of sanding very easily splinter in and around feet walking by. Overall the hosts were amazing and gracious to us. Very accommodating would definitely stay there again.

Great location

Great location for south haven-one block from beach and easy walk to town. House has brand new kitchen tools, beach wagon and chairs. Would have liked a bigger area around the TV space in living room for gathering. As in any rental now a days—- if you want us to reuse bath towels and cloths, there needs to be more hooks in the bathrooms and drying racks in bedrooms as a suggestion.

Really nice place and great location

Really nice place. Great location just 5 minutes walk from beach one way and 5 minutes to the main area with many restaurants. Communication was great and owners seemed very friendly. The only complaint was wifi was very spotty and couldn’t use tvs a lot cuz of bad connection. We had 7 kids 2-7 so was a big deal. Also the dishwasher wasn’t installed properly. If those were fixed then this place is as good as it gets

So Much Sandcastle Fun!

We were a group of 15. My husband and myself our six kids, their 4 spouses and 3 grandchildren. Seven bedrooms was the perfect fit for us! Each bedroom had its own private bathroom. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. We cooked dinner in most evenings. The front porch was an awesome lounging space. The shared pool was perfect and generally we were the only people using the pool. The beach was close by and we carried our chairs and beach canopy there with no problem. There was a little store and deli almost across the street where we bought quick snacks, ice cream and sandwiches! We all enjoyed the ease of walking to the restaurants and bars in South Haven. Our time at Lake Michigan and our stay at the Sandcastle was so awesome, we booked again for 2025!

Best spot

I stayed here with a group of 11 ladies to celebrate our friend getting married. We had a long weekend planned and the location is absolutely perfect for South Haven! It’s walking distance to a private beach that we watched the sunset. You could walk to downtown but we drove. The actual house must have been a bed and breakfast at some point because each room has a separate bathroom and most have tvs and fireplaces. It was just perfect! I would definitely stay again in the future and highly recommend. They owners were very responsive to questions and extremely helpful. There weren’t hair dryers but we brought our own. They had a wagon, chairs and games which was such a bonus. We went in the off season so didn’t use the pool but honestly this place has everything. Thanks so much!

Great family Stay

Fourteen of us stayed at the Sandcastle the last week of July 2023. Property is huge and clearly was previously operated by a bed and breakfast. It is located one block from Dyckman Beach, but be aware that due to private beach ownership that beach access is pretty small and can get crowded. However it is an easy walk to North Beach which is much bigger. The pool was small, but sufficient. It is shared with the neighboring condos so there were times that others were using the pool. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to feed our group and was probably the best stocked kitchen in a rental I had seen. It was also a great location to walk across the draw bridge and into downtown South Haven which was great. A few things that could have been improved during our stay: - there is very limited furniture in the bedrooms. A second night stand and dresser would be nice. - while there were two towels provided per bedroom a few extra would have been nicer as well as a bit more bathroom storage. - when we arrived there had been some sort of leak and one of the beds was wet and the carpet. We believe this happened due to humidity in a vent accumulating while the AC was off. -on Monday morning at 8 am tree trimmers arrived and were LOUD. I wish we would have been provided notice that this was occurring in advance. Strange to wake up with workers in the yard with no notice - some of the suites did not have room darkening curtains or shades so it was bright in the AM.
