Great little getaway cabin up in the mountains with plenty of privacy with great views in all directions. Open floor plan with two good size bedrooms with very comfortable beds as well as a deck. Short drive to Buena Vista as well. Would recommend to anyone looking to get up in the mountains!

We have traveled to many places and never has a home been more welcoming. You’ll find privacy surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes and a house equipped with everything you could need. There is a folder on the table you should read because it has great suggestions and helpful hints. We spend a week at the cabin and it was not enough to visit and see everything. We loved the fishing, went with Acquired Tastes Rafting (highly recommend them, smaller company), you can’t miss the goat farm, Mt. Princeton Hot Sprigs was great as was St. Elmo. If you want to go and look for gold, don’t go with Dennis O’Neill (pick the other place recommended in “the folder”) unless you want to be invited into his trailer and meet an interesting character. The O’Neill family has rented the property out and I have left information in the book as to whom to contact. We had a great time at the cabin, fell in love with Hartsel, CO. and hope to return soon.

This cabin in Ranch of the Rockies was more beautiful than we even imagined!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 2 nights in this cabin. There were 4 of us so the 2 bedrooms was perfect! I slept in the smaller (but still with plenty of space) bedroom with the king size memory foam sleep number bed and it was literally like sleeping on clouds! The cabin is roomy with up to date appliances, but still has the rustic cabin feel. The view of the valley is absolutely gorgeous especially with the sunset!! The kitchen is loaded with everything you need for to cook or make drinks. We spent our first day driving around and exploring the scenery, then we went to the Cottonwood Hot Springs. If you've never been to any Hot really don't know what you're missing. It was absolutely AMAZING!! The next day we took a bit of drive to Breckenridge and took a Gondola ride up the mountain where they had all kinds of activities like Alpine slides, zip lining, mountain biking, mini golf, beer, food, ect. Our time in the mountains was much too short so we'll probably stay longer next time and we would not hesitate to stay here again! Matt was the best host I've had in all the many times I've used Homeaway or Airbnb! He was available via text or call and always answered right away. They also have a great book at the cabin outlining what the area has to offer for activities and dining. I would give this experience 20/5 if I could!

Cozy Cabin in the Rocky Mountains!

  • 5 of 5

The listing of this cabin was accurate and everything we needed was just as it was described! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location because it was clean, well-maintained and super comfy! And the views from the cabin were majestic and beautiful! The owner communicated with us often, giving us tips about activities and attractions in the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives! We had a fantastic stay in this cozy, comfy cabin!!
