Wonderful retreat 10 minutes to ferry and seaside shopping in the charming town of Langley. Public beach access is just minutes away. Spacious, comfy, romantic with rustic charm. Has master bedroom with french door, study, deck, large kitchen, covered porch, fish pond, and seasonal gardens.
No kidding - we think this is the best deal and best space available on Maxwelton beach - only $175/nite (plus cleaning fee and 2 night minimum stay). This is truly a magical place with nesting eagles, visiting otters, resident hummingbirds that zip around in the gardens and a symphony of bird life during migration!
Spacious remodeled kitchen has a guest bar with an amazing view of water, mountains, and gardens that makes cooking and entertaining a delight.
Relax in the evening on the deck, listening to the surf and watching the breathtaking sunsets after a fun day of beach combing, biking, hiking, boutique shopping, farmers' markets, and all the amenities Whidbey island has to offer.
For additional space or special occasions we can make arrangements to include our adorable 'Dragonfly Cottage' (sleeps 2-4) VRBO listing #377363, which is adjacent.

We've been professional nature photographers for over 20 years with publications including National Geographic. Enjoy hiking, gardening, a good book and kicking back with friends
Owner purchased this House in 2005
Why Owner chose Clinton
We chose this slice of paradise because it is like having our own Nature Channel - there is always something interesting happening out the window!
What makes this House unique
We love being just minutes away from great dining, entertainment and all the recreational amenities Whidbey has to offer - and being able to return to the privacy, beauty and serenity of our beach bluff.
Sports & Adventure Activities
The cottage was lovely, well decorated, but the view was magnificent. We had a wonderful stay here, both bedrooms were fine and the kitchen was well supplied with utensils, pots and pans as well as staples. We would stay here again - perfect for 4.
Incredible! Amazing and perfect for our needs!
My mother, sister and I stayed in this beautiful Bluff house on Whidbey Island. We were welcomed by a bottle of wine upon arrival and the greatness just continued from there! The birds, sun, sunsets and views were stunning and we got to experience a family of 10+ otters running along in the backyard at 6am on the morning we departed. I would strongly recommend this lovely home to anyone who wants to unplug from the hustle and plug into some solitude. Due to some unexpected flight schedules we ended up spending a lot more time away from the home than we anticipated. If you plan on back/forth to the mainland, build in lots of time for traffic and ferry schedules. If you plan on touring the island be sure to stop at Greenbank at the Whidbey Farm for a slice of some of the best pie you will ever taste!
We took our watercolor painting supplies to the public beach about 2 miles up the road and spent a delightful day beach combing, painting and basking in the sun. What bliss!
Amazing Views and lovely home
My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights, we could have stayed forever! Very lovely home with all the things you need. Just bring clothes and food if you choose to cook in. Sunsets are so beautiful! One mile from public beach for shell hunting. Close to Langley for shopping buy we enjoyed Coupeville even more! We chose to drive around and not take the ferry and it worked out much better. Beautiful drive and no ferry lines or fees!
The owner is very helpful and so is the next door neighbor. Highly recommend this home for a short or long get away.
Comfortable stay with a great view
We loved our stay and the view was gorgeous. Our only real complaint is that there is an ant problem in the second bedroom.
Perfect place to unwind
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Bluff House with gorgeous views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. The view has a "wow" effect as soon as you walk into the house! We love the big windows and enjoy our morning coffee watching the cruise ships, tankers, sailboats, kayakers, and birds go by. The house is very comfortable, spacious and sunny, with charming and interesting décor including the stunning nature photographs taken by the owners. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need and more. The telescope by the large window is a bonus and we spend many nights looking at the moon and night sky. We are so fortunate to be able to experience the Maxwelton July 4th parade by the beach a short walking distance away. We love the location. Susan is great to work with and provided all the instructions/info. for a perfect vacation. Highly recommend this place.
We were about to spend two days in a nice Seattle hotel when the spirit moved us to search for a house with a view on Whidbey Island. Mind you, this decision was made at 7:00pm and we were supposed to head to the hotel the next morning. Fortunately, we found this wonderful place, it was available for two days and all the arrangements came together (we are grateful). The open-floor-plan home is spacious, inviting, comfortable, and has a lot of light. Of course, the primary attraction for us tourists is the fantastic sunset view of Puget Sound. We enjoyed watching the osprey, herons, other sea birds whose names we have not learned, and especially the bald eagles. Massive ships, cargo and passenger, cruise past and many smaller boats, too. Over the course of our two-day stay, we read, made good use of the kitchen, relaxed, and even did our laundry all the while keeping an eye on the great views. If I could change anything about the house, I would find a way to make the primary inside viewing spot more comfortable. And, if I could make any suggestions to future vacationers: don't make a lot of other plans while you are staying here, you are not going to want to leave the house. One more thing, bring some good binoculars with you.
