HOUSE LAYOUT

GROUND FLOOR features a TV and movie screening lounge with its own kitchenette and a full bath. Guests may also use the provided basic fitness equipment for health and wellness routines.

MAIN FLOOR is bathed in sunlight through a wall of windows featuring spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains and Ashokan Reservoir. There is a large living room with a wood-burning stove that opens directly to the outdoor deck; a half bath; and an open-concept, full kitchen with modern appliances and a large central island counter that seats 6. Dinners can also be enjoyed outdoors on the deck - which features a dining table and lounge seating.

OUTDOOR DECK spans the entire length of the house, and has a gas propane grill, outdoor food prep area, and a seasonal hot tub. Plenty of seating options between Adirondack chairs, benches, and wood loungers with cushions. A European-style, retractable striped awning can be cranked open for ample shade, or to complete the look of a chic, outdoor spa or bistro.

TOP FLOOR is reached by an enclosed wooden staircase, which leads to a tropical-feeling lounge area with a hammock for view-gazing, napping, or reading. The two Queen-sized bedrooms are large, comfortable and private; each features inspiring mountain and reservoir views directly from bed. The master bedroom enjoys a large, en suite bath with a glass shower and soaking tub. A second full bathroom with shower and tub is shared between the other Queen bedroom and the bunk room with two, full-sized stacked beds. These rooms have desks and work-from-home areas with a desk and shelves - the Queen room faces the mountains/reservoir, the bunk room faces a sweet pine forest.

ECO-CONSCIOUS FEATURES the house is powered by solar energy, with a modern heat pump HVAC system zoned for different rooms and areas of the house. An EV charger is on hand for free charging of vehicles during your stay (Tesla adapters are required). Please note that during Central Hudson power outages, certain zones in and on the property - such as the charger and hot tub, and occasionally the hot water heater - will be turned off so all saved power goes to other electrical/power needs.

The home was lovely and the view was absolutely stunning. You get this view from all but 1 room. I rated at mid point because the primary rooms bathroom has 0 curtains. Which for the first day seemed fine, until I could see our neighbors walking about. After that we concluded that, yes they can see into the very back of the bathroom, even the toilet. I was very disenchanted at that point. As for the hot tub, the water never got beyond tepid and had issues that needed calls and effort to get back online. The basement, is a basement, it was very humid with that basement smell. But I didn't remove stars for that, just a note for anyone wanting to have people sleep down there. The jack and Jill bathroom door did not open all the way. So we had some issues there as well, but again more of a petty grievance. If the bathroom wasn't a peep show I probably wouldn't have left this long of a review tbh. But I think these are mostly easy fixes and with that the place would be a wonderful spring get away.

Hello Joney and future guests: After Joney mentioned the lack of a curtain in the master bathroom, we have since added a closable blind in the bathroom. We didn't have one before, as window faces and frames out a nice view of the woods on a quiet mountain road, and so far, no one who ever occupied the house was concerned about visual privacy. But, to make the bathroom comfortable for all, now renters can choose - blinds open to Nature, or closed for privacy. Humid basements are common in houses in the Catskills built on rock; we did have dehumidifiers going during Joney's stay, but have since taken additional steps to allow them to run 24-7 and eliminate the issues she mentioned. Just a head's up: our capacity is to sleep 6 people in the third floor bedrooms: the basement level is not intended for anyone to sleep in, it's just a nice big TV room, hang out space, and room to do exercise in. The half bath with a shower that Joney mentions (Jack and Jill) is meant as a basic extra to supplement the 3 total other bathrooms in the house. The door tightly closes just fine - there is just limited space inside this fourth bathroom to open it wide from the inside.
