Looking for a cozy, private & spacious Maine getaway? Come stay at The Babbling Brook Bungalow!

Just a short 1 mile drive from Mount Desert Island, 7 miles to Acadia National Park (aka a hikers paradise!) and 17 miles to travel destination hot spot Bar Harbor this bungalow location is ideal!

For the more adventurous thrill seekers, enjoy Scenic Flights Of Acadia just 1 minute down the road to see Acadia National Park from a rare perspective to make a vacation memory that will last a lifetime!

Once you arrive at the bungalow, you'll walk into an open living room, dining & kitchen area on the first level, with one bedroom with queen bed and one bathroom down the hall. Linens and towels are provided.

The second level is a large, airy loft with a second spacious bedroom - perfect for relaxing after a day spent outdoors.

The bungalow includes a full kitchen, equipped with a refrigerator, range/oven, microwave, Keurig, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, etc. The kitchen, dining area and living room feature a vaulted ceiling and a fun spiral staircase that leads to the loft.

With many windows and beautiful cedar throughout, the cabin is a clean, comfortable and calming space inside. Enjoy the heat pump/AC system and pellet stove that will keep the cabin delightfully cool on the warmest summer days or cozy warm on the chilly ones. If you are one to do laundry on vacation, we’ve got you covered with a washer and dryer located in the basement.

The nearby marketplace, gas station, lobster shacks and restaurants make it an easy place to start or end your adventure filled day!

So the only reason we could not give this place a top rating is related less to the cabin itself and far more to its location. it is RIGHT off the main highway between Bangor and Bar Harbor. The road noice is incessant and does not relent until around 11 PM or so and picks back up around 430 or 5 in the morning. The cabin itself is delightful and indeed very cozy with all the expected amenities. We did have a wonderful time hiking in Acadia and dining in Bar Harbor so that mitigated the noise concern somewhat but it remains a downside.

This was a great place to stay!!! The location was really close to Acadia National Park and my family and I got to feel like we were at camp again. Everything was really clean and check in/out was really easy!

The home was poorly supplied with no paper towels ,very dusty, vacuum resting next to the couch had a visible full dirt cup, the floor near the stove is a trip hazard, the bathroom floor should be replaced, the dead bolt on the back door needs to be looked at the toilet seat was practically off my husband tightened it when we got there and it loosened up it really should be replaced

Wonderful Stay

Our family had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo rental just outside Acadia National Park! It was the perfect home base for exploring the park with kidsThe was more than enough room for our family of five. The kids loved having their own bedrooms (and Wi-Fi!), and we appreciated the fully equipped kitchen.

We loved this cabin! We traveled to visit Acadia National Park and the location of this home was perfect. Also, the fact that we stayed in a real cabin was very exciting and authentic feeling for our two children. They loved the loft!

Nice, comfy place that was a great location for exploring Acadia. Has a great hammock, chairs around fire pit and room for all 4 of us. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Acadia.

Really sweet cabin, very accessible to main and quiet sides

Recently updated, clean, great location. Washer and dryer were super helpful. Very nice to use the firepit which had complimentary firewood! Very cozy.

Very welcoming and cozy. Trash left in multiple trash cans upon arrival, toilet dirty. Beyond that I would nothing negative to say. Games provided inside and out. Multiple seating areas, comfy beds.

Great location and spacious for the family

We had a great stay at this location. The only thing is, if you have small kids, be careful using the spiral stairs. The cabin is complete with everything you might need, kitchen stuff, games for the kids and more! It's a perfect spot, not far from Acadia national park and a good distance from the business of downtown Bar harbor. Lots of attraction within 10 - 15 miles. Thank you!

This place is great! Very clean, neat with proper amenities. Property can accomodate at least 2 vehicles. But it can get very warm at the upper room probably because heater is new so adjust accordingly. I would love stay again and explore Acadia more!

Excellent house

My wife and I stayed here for 1 month while we worked remotely. Had absolutely 0 issues the entire stay and the host responded immediately and communicated well with any questions. Easy access to Acadia, dont forget to check out Ellsworth as well for some hidden gems

Wonderful

We loved the Babbling Brook Bungalow. It was close to everything, but just far enough away to escape all the crazy. The yard in back was wonderful with a great barbecue and fire pit. The smart lock was great to use and we didn’t have to worry about any keys. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. If we come to Bar Harbor, we would definitely stay again!

Great stay minutes from Bar Harbor

Clean, aesthetically pleasing home nicely decorated and comfortable with very efficient use of space. Great wifi, nice TV set up to easily sign into streaming services and a large comfy sectional couch. Lovely loft with plenty of room for our teen daughter to relax in her own space. Good parking, convenient location for trips into Bar Harbor. We felt right at home on a long weekend trip to visit our daughter at the Jackson Lab only 25 min away. Overall 5/5 stars and we would love to stay here again when we’re in this neck of the woods!

Nice stay just a few miles from Bar Harbor and Acadia!

Nice location, quiet, but next to several decent lobster pounds including one within 2 minutes walk! The front road can be quite busy when getting out. Nearby Ellsworth has everything you need including groceries and Walmart, as Bar Harbor can get quite crowded and congested with tourists. The only minor issue is the unit was lacking a few kitchen items such as paper towels and a lobster cracker. Otherwise, the home has a lovely backyard for outdoor eating and feels safe at night. Would definitely book again if we go to Acadia.
