House was great but driveway is not as it looks in the photos. As soon as you turn into the driveway, it is very steep driveway down to level parking. It was VERY difficult maneuvering a truck with a boat trailer in the driveway. Other than that, good place to stay.

Thanks for the review and for staying with us. We’re glad you enjoyed the house overall.
We appreciate the feedback about the driveway. For larger vehicles and trailers, many guests choose to park in the upper area near the entrance rather than driving down to the lower parking level, which usually makes maneuvering much easier.
Thanks again for staying with us.
Beware of renting this property — the listing is very misleading and our experience was extremely disappointing. My family, including our newborn baby, rented this home expecting peace, privacy, and tranquility on the lake. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. One major issue not clearly disclosed was that the property owner sleeps in the basement of the home. We believed we were renting the entire property privately, which was a major reason we booked it.The listing also advertised amenities that either did not exist or were not available for guest use. The photos and description mention a gym, but there was no gym. We politely asked about using the kayak on the dock and were told the police would be called if we used it.The water pressure was extremely low from the moment we arrived, and on Mother’s Day the well/water system completely failed. We spent a night with no running water and ultimately had to leave before checkout because the water main fully broke. This completely ruined my wife’s first Mother’s Day and created a very stressful situation for our family and newborn. What made it worse was the owner showed no remorse, compassion, or accountability, offered no compensation, and even knocked on the door after 10 PM one night, disturbing both my sleep and my newborn’s sleep.Overall, this was not the peaceful lake getaway that was advertised, and I would not recommend this property.

This was one of the most disrespectful and concerning guest experiences I’ve dealt with as a host.
The group repeatedly pushed boundaries throughout the stay. At one point, there were discussions about using a neighboring property’s kayak without permission after already being told it did not belong to the rental. I had to make it explicitly clear that unauthorized use of neighboring property was not allowed.
There were also serious concerns regarding behavior on the property itself. Evidence and reports indicated the backyard was being used for gun target practice activity, creating major safety and liability concerns for both the property and surrounding neighbors.
Communication became increasingly hostile whenever requests or rules were enforced. Despite multiple accommodations made during the stay, including extending checkout several hours beyond the agreed checkout time, the interaction escalated into aggressive complaints and threatening messages.
The property was also left in unacceptable condition at checkout, including garbage throughout the home, trash left outside, and unsanitary items left behind that required additional deep cleaning and sanitization before future guests could arrive.
I have hosted guests for over 10 years and have never experienced a situation like this before. This is the first time I would strongly advise other hosts not to rent to a guest based on my experience.
I have submitted all evidence to VRBO and forgone told them about them.

Serenity with nature. Deer walking in the backyard, birds chirping and bright stars at night.
