Ocean beaches and freshwater kettle ponds are within 10 minutes’ driving distance. Rooms of the south facing house offer unrestricted water views and sliding doors to decks overlooking the bay. From the upper deck enjoy outdoor dining and views of Great Island or escape the sun and relax in the hammock or swing of the screened-in porch below.
Under new ownership in 2024, extensive upgrades include new furniture and fixtures, a new boardwalk crossing a salt marsh to a sandy beach, new upper deck with a screened porch below, new cedar siding & roofs, new windows & skylights, and solar panels on both buildings that offset all power use, plus a solar-charged battery backup system.

There are 2 full bathrooms, a second laundry room, and the entertainment room is outfitted with a large flat screen TV, games, and a sectional couch. All rooms, but one have ocean views as well as direct access to the screened-in porch or upper level deck.
The Cottage, which sits behind the main house and above the garage, has a bathroom with a shower and a kitchenette that includes a microwave, kitchen sink, and minifridge. The loft which has a full mattress (not included in bed count) is accessible via a pull-down ladder. The Cottage could accommodate a couple or a small family, is furnished with a 4-seat dining table and a queen-sized sofa pullout, has two parking spaces of its own.
The bay water is significantly warmer than the ocean. At low tide the sea retreats and the shell fishermen go to work. If you bring a couple $20 bills you may be able to buy a burlap bag of oysters or clams. Amenities include paddleboards, kayaks, boogie boards, and a tandem, a hybrid, and a mountain bike. Ride bikes to town or to the Wellfleet Pier for an ice cream or walk out the private boardwalk to a sandy beach where you can take out the paddle boards and kayaks to explore the bay and Great Island (National Seashore).
