About this property

Whiskey Barrel Bunkhouse

This is a 860 sq ft one bedroom one bath that will sleep 6. ( It is on the same property as my other VRBO Cozy sunrise suite at waters edge ) on the 38 MM on the west side of Lake of the Ozarks.
It has a Queen bed in the bedroom, a double sofa bed in the living area and two twin beds in the living area. It has an old west cowboy/1970s whiskey barrel furniture theme and is wheelchair accessable.
It has great swimming in a no wake cove with plenty of seating on the dock and nice shaded outdoor area next to bunkhouse with firepit and a charcoal bbq grill.

Lakefront recreation
Enjoy the two paddle boards, two kayaks, paddle boat, floatie noodles ,saddlesand the 16-foot lily pad.Boat trailer parking is no problem. It has room on the side of the dock for a boat up to a 40-foot. The boat dock with bumpers and tie offs is free of charge with rental of bunkhouse.The three well dock is shared with the other rental and ourselves. The boat ramp is located at Premier Advantage Marina @ 27 Lighthouse Marina Rd 38 MM . three minutes away. All roads are paved leading into our renal and boat ramp.

Interior Amenities
Bunkhouse has a full kitchen, a keurig coffee maker,( coffee pods are supplied along with other common condiments and spices,paper towels, dish soap ) an air fryer, there are 3 smart televisions, 2 in the living area and 1 in the bedroom, the live edge riverbar and other pieces I made from an oak tree that was taken down in the nieborhood and slabbed up by a small sawmill about a quarter mile from the rental, the bathroom has a large shower and bodywash, shampoo, conditioner, and towels ect. are supplied.

Other fun things to do,
Come swim,float, fish, grill,( play corn hole or horse shoes ( supplied ) or visit all the favorite restaurants and lake resorts the west side has to offer.
Grocery, fuel and fresh produce stand are right up the road. You dont have to go far for just about anything you could need or want. I live on site and am usually on site to help with anythin you need. Please note i have 2 dogs and a cat on the premises in case you are allergic. the pets occasionally frequent the bunkhouse during cleaning and maitenance but not regulary. See house rules for more details.

We were there in September and it was super quiet and relaxing. Got entry info the day of but the host is nearby and he'll help with info or anything. The Lake of the Ozarks is really nice, few boats, lots of docks, pretty clean. Saw many eagles over two days. The nearby town has a few restaurants, two coffee shops and even a bakery. The 'bunkhouse' was slightly insecticidy on arrival but gone the next day. It is fully equipped for dining and food preparation. Several TVs if you're into that, you should have your streaming service passwords. Kayaks and paddleboat available. A few minor shortcomings but we would definitely return for another stay.

Our stay at the Wheel Barrel Bunkhouse was outstanding. To start off with - the directions to the place were spot on. Host Rod ( couldn’t ask for better hospitality). The lake view is beautiful with a beautifully equipped dock for relaxing and entertaining- Rod has it all. Now the actual bunkhouse itself was out of this world. The hundreds of hours spent crafting this magnificent place is unreal. The detail is very impressive. A true “ole country feel” to this place that just makes one smile on the inside. There was a patio deck off to the side of the bunkhouse that offered lake views with access to grilling, fire pit and relaxing with all supplies provided for. Another thing to note is that this bunkhouse comes fully stocked with all essentials- only thing you need are clothes and eats. I will say that there is a marina close by (0.3 mi) from the place called Premier Advantage Marine for easy boat access. We thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful stay and highly recommend.

Top Notch!!!! Host is wonderful!!! Beautiful home with everything you need to stay. We had a wonderful time kayaking and fishing. Caught all kinds of different fish. Great place to stay!

This is such a great place to stay! The theme is fun, location is perfect for places on the Gravois & Osage arm with 2 grocery stores nearby! I had 2 teenage girls with me that loved the dock space; enjoyed paddle boats and lily pad catching rays! The owner was wonderful to work with, as well!
