Located about 1/2 mile from Long Pond on a quiet sand road, this 3 bedroom 2 bath home was built in 2004. The living, dining, and kitchen areas share a bright, open space with access to the deck and back yard. There is one bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed along with a full bath off the hallway. The other two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds, and full bath are on the second floor. The bedrooms have window A/C units. Centrally located, this house is about a 5 minute drive or a pleasant bike ride to Wellfleet Center, the ponds and ocean beaches. Available for 3 night minimums with an added cleaning fee. Cleaning fee included on 7 night or longer stays. An administrative fee and applicable taxes may apply. Linens not provided. Guests may rent linens or bring their own.

Pleasant retreat

The house was just the right size and in a great location for what we were seeking. We could access beaches and the bike path by bike or by a short drive. We could walk out the door to lovely walking trails in the National Seashore. Nice dining room space for the 6 of us to gather and play games, work on art projects, or chat.

The location was great, literally a house nestled in the woods ( so much so, it was a little difficult to find). Very private! The house was well maintained, clean, and had a nice enclosed outdoor shower. We would certainly return there on our next trip to the Cape!

Outdoor shower does not have hot water only warmish - nice porch but steps need repair- small yard needs a cleanup - Living area needs TV upgrade. Couches in living room are old and dirty- they feel damp with no AC in that area. House feels under decorated in general- no towels in the house.-

Great location but house needs work

The location of the property is great. The house is not maintained with care. The couches are old and very uncomfortable (and dirty!); the box spring upstairs is soiled; and there hasn't been an appropriate deep - cleaning: door frames are dirty, there is detritus underneath the couch cushions, there is dirt next to the refrigerator and under the garbage can area. The pans in the kitchen are old and the teflon is cracked to such a degree that I feared using them. No basic condiments like salt and pepper. Each room needs more light. And fixtures needs fixing. Management was very gracious and responsive, however.

Wasn’t well cleaned (many dead bugs in bedroom floors) toilets were old and dirty. Kitchen not well stocked AT ALL! No chopping block, no working coffee machine, cheese board that had a huge crack down the middle. No real outdoor space to use, no cushions on chairs outside, no umbrella. New grill was nice. For what was charged for this property, we feel robbed.

August 2024 Review of 240 Old Long Pond

Rating Details: The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, accessible to Long Pond and downtown Wellfleet.The property was poorly cleaned when we arrived ... we spent many hours cleaning it ourselves, including buying a mop (which we left at the property) so that we could better clean the floors. We also washed all of the utensils and the the utensil containers as we could see the dirt there.We left the property in much better shape than we found it.we also would have benefitted from more explicit instructions on the use of the TV ... we figured it out but it is a different system than conventional cable.We appreciated the outdoor patio space in additional to the living room/dining room. The bedrooms were fine.Overall, it was good experience, especially after the 1st day or 2 of cleaning that we did.

A great week at the Cape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 7th year at this location. With Covid we haven't been up to the cape since 2019. The property was the same as always. Clean, the perfect location with respect the proximity to the Ocean, the ponds and the Bay. We also had a ring side seat for the 2022 edition of the PMC which is always a treat.

Great location

Could use an extra chair in living room but the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses and pots (and world’s largest supply of dull knives!). Byo salt/pepper etc. Easy walk to Long and Great ponds; we also walked to beach so as not to spend hours waiting for a parking spot to open. We also walked into town (we like to walk 😊)Hot water was always available for our party of 4 and we used the washer/dryer. I would have liked to wash the light blankets that were provided as they were soiled but the laundry posted that they should not go in the washer. All in all a nice place in the woods.

Called the Realtor who responded right away and was told that maintenance would call to correct but I never heard from maintenance. This should get fixed because it is a waste of water.
