Wonderful Stay

The host, Jairo, was quick to respond to all my communications. We had one shock, when we arrived there were signs above each toilet saying not to put toilet paper into the toilet. I contacted Jairo and she reply to ignore the signs. Hopefully they will be taken off the bathroom walls soon. Check-in was simple and the house was very clean. We have stayed at three other places with heated pools and this is the warmest and nicest pool. We did day trips to the beach and Everglades; it was nice to come back to the home and jump in the pool. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. A big bonus was a couple pair of Burrowing Owls in the neighborhood. Our favorite local find was the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, about a 25 minute drive from the house. There is also a great chocolate store not far from the house, Norman Love Confections. You should have a great stay.

Sign says do not flush toilet paper! Need to disclose this up front!

We stayed here for a week. Upon arrival we found signs in the bathrooms to not flush toilet paper down the toilet. Instead we were instructed to put in the waste basket. I immediately called the host as this is gross and extremely unsanitary. He called and then said it was ok. They had had some problems with other guests causing plumbing issues. We did stay and had no issues all week. It not for this start I would have rated higher. The house is an older home but pictures were accurate and the home was comfortable. The patio area was nice although furniture not in the best of shape. We didn’t have much gas in the propane for the fireplace but the host replaced with full tanks immediately after we notified him.
