Whether you need a staycation, workcation, or a getaway, Deer Haus awaits your next adventure. This tranquil cottage is nestled in the woods yet strikingly close to the heart of New Buffalo. Deer Haus is only half a mile from downtown New Buffalo’s restaurants and breweries. Pack up your car or continue to pedal another mile to New Buffalo’s beautiful public beach, or head in the opposite direction to nearby Four Winds Casino.

THE SPACE
Tucked on a private wooded lot, the neighborhood’s gravel path leads you to an escape from the usual hustle and bustle. The elegantly decorated home takes its design inspiration from nature as well as a nod to an alpine hunting lodge. Deer Haus features bamboo floors in all first-floor living spaces, wood blinds, granite countertops, and KitchenAid appliances. Cooks of all levels will enjoy a well-equipped kitchen and the additional convenience of a KitchenAid toaster oven with an air fryer feature. The Keurig dual pot and pod brewer will keep your crew caffeinated.

The ample open-space living room and dining area include comfortable furniture, a cozy gas-lit fireplace, high vaulted ceilings, and a fireplace-mounted smart TV. Skylights and windows bathe the house in the warm glow of natural light. The main bedroom and bath, as well as a guest bedroom and full bath, are on the first floor. A charming third bedroom, half bath, and loft create a second-floor retreat from the rest of the home.

You’ll enjoy the serene sounds of birds chirping while lounging on the screened-in porch or choose to unwind outside in the home’s latest amenity: a six-person hot tub. Dine alfresco on the ground-level deck and end your evening with a round of s'mores at the rustic firepit.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.

All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.

The minimum age to rent this home is 25.

A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

We welcome up to one dog at this home at no additional charge. Please include your dog in the reservation details or let our team know after booking.  

Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
