Welcome to Harborside Haven! Nestled in the heart of New Buffalo, Michigan, this beautifully designed vacation home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience for an unforgettable stay. Located within walking distance to the marina, New Buffalo public beach, and Oinks Ice Cream Parlor, this property has something to offer all ages and interests.

With 5 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms, this property comfortably accommodates families and groups with ample space for everyone to relax and unwind. 

The main floor of the home features 3 bedrooms with king beds and flat screen TVs as well as a full bathroom. Love to cook? The kitchen overlooks dining and living spaces and features an amazing 8 burner gas stove with double ovens. 

Just off the kitchen and dining spaces is a large den with a fireplace, TV, and tons of cozy seating perfect for movies, books, naps, or board games! Between the den and screen porch is a daybed and office nook, in case you need to get a little work done on vacation. 

Looking to spend some time outside? The large yard and inviting 3-season porch offer the perfect setting for morning coffee, afternoon reads, or evening cocktails. Step outside to enjoy the pool and firepit area, perfect for splashing all afternoon or toasting up some S’mores under the stars. 

Head downstairs for a stocked game room with a pool table, shuffleboard, darts, and a Pac Man arcade game! This home has been recently renovated and the basement features two new bedrooms including a bunk room that sleeps four as well as a bedroom with a new queen bed.

The house is exactly 5/10 of a mile from the main intersection in downtown and 1 mile to the public beach.

How is the neighborhood?
The homes in the area are a mix of full time residents and second homes.  There is an ordinance within the city for quiet hours of 10:00 PM EST to 7:00 AM

The owners do have personal belongings in the garage and it is locked off.

This home was in a great location, very walkable to downtown and to the beach. plenty of room and lots of different spaces to congregate. Awesome kitchen, rec room, TV room, dining room etc. Beautiful outdoor seating spaces and heated pool. Everything worked well! We had five cars so those easily fit as well!

This house was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The house had many opportunities for additional sleeping. In addition to the 4 bedrooms, there was a bunk room and a day bed. The downstairs game room and the beautiful pool was perfect.

Girls Getaway

We take an annual girls weekend and we choose this home for 10 women to stay. Location was GREAT! Quiet neighborhood and we walked 10 minutes to the downtown shopping and restaurants. Communication with the property manager was fine. The things I would point out that were NOT satisfactory:1. 3 chirping smoke detectors going off when we entered - we replaced them ourselves2.several burnt out lights that did not get replaced during our stay3. FREEZING basement with only 1 heat vent to the basement bedrooms - we had to reach out and ask for space heaters (this house is NOT set up for winter visitors with more than 5 guests)4. Leaking toilet with leaking pipe in basement - we ended up shutting the water off to the toilet and not using the main toilet on the first floor5. Basement bathroom: don’t lock the door - you won’t get out! We had to find a screwdriver to get our guest out! 6. Only enough hot water for 3 quick showers - otherwise plan on an ice cold shower - not enough hot water.

NICE BUT LACK OF HOTWATER

My stay would have been a great experience as I was celebrating my 50th Birthday, however what my family and friends experience was far from that. The home was very nice and to our satisfaction however the lack of hot water in the middle of the winter time was definetely not. My guest and I were forced to take cold showers 3 days in a row. The host was contacted several times and never resolved the issue. I waited hours for a response to only reach back out to have the host say someone was on their way to fix the hot water and they never showed. The host was contacted the next day and informed us someone was on their way again. This time a random man(not a professional) came and looked for 2 minutes and informed us he would let the host know and they both assured myself and my guest someone professional was on the way. In the mean time myself and my guest had to boil several pots of water to wash our bodies. The host never called back and even after our trip was finally over and I reached out again for some type of explanation, apology and definitely some type of refund however its been over 48 hours and still no response.
