About this property

Cozy family cottage near Crystal Mountain on the Betsie River.

Enjoy the quiet seclusion on 5 private acres. The property is on the Betsie River and depending on the time of the year has steelhead and salmon. Trout are in it year round. Sit on the large covered deck and enjoy the outdoors with a campfire. If you aren't a homebody, Crystal Mountain is only about 3 miles away. Great Skiing and golf are available. The Iron fish distillery is only 2 miles away and have very good food and drinks made from products grown on site. a 15-20 minute drive will get you to the beautiful beaches at Arcadia, Elberta, and Frankfort. Crystal Lake is also close by. A little longer drive and you can experience the Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Our property is a family cottage not a commercial rental. The downstairs bedrooms are small. The cottage will sleep many but just so there aren't any surprises the dining table is made for 6 people (you can fit 8). There is a covered deck with a picnic table that seats 8. The downstairs living room seats 8 and the upstairs family room seats 5. The upstairs family room and bedroom is a combined room. There is a tv upstairs that picks up local channels via an antenna. There is a HDMI cable to connect to a device. We use our iphones to stream tv.

What a great cabin on the river. It had everything we needed. The house and property was clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and the upstairs loft was a joy for the kids to hang out in. Randy was great to work with and communicated with us in a timely manner. Will definitely stay there again.

This cottage was perfect for our family get-together. The pictures on the listing do not do the property justice. The location is exceptional, with close access to the river, lakeshore, and Crystal Mountain. The house was very clean and cozy and the kitchen was well-stocked. We are grateful for our time at this location and hope to be back in the future.

The view of the river from the house is absolutely gorgeous. The house is well stocked and maintained. Very cozy! Beautiful place to stay with all the comfort of home. The layout is perfect. My family and I will definitely be staying again! 10/10 recommend visiting if you are able to.

Great Cozy Cabin in beautiful private setting. Less than 10 mins from Crystal Mountain, this place was just what we needed for a long weekend ski trip. Plenty of space for our group, would be fantastic for all 4 Seasons as well!!We hope to stay here again on future trips to Crystal Mountain.

Beautiful property, we were able to catch some trout in the river which is an added bonus to the stay, nice and quiet and even had some turkeys show up in the yard which was cool to see so many in a group.

Very clean with plenty of beds. It is a great location, quiet and secluded yet not too far away from other activities. 20 minutes to Arcadia beach. 5 minutes to Iron Fish distillery which was awesome. Bring mosquito spray, they are heavy. Also Brring some boots if planning to access the river from the property. The stairs go halfway down to the river and then it is very muddy after that especially the last 10 feet near the river bank. Not sure if it is like that all the time or just weather related. Much easier river access down the road at the bridge.

This was the BEST place!! The pictures don’t do it justice for how nice, big, welcoming and cozy the cabin is! My family and I the whole time we were there kept saying “my gosh this place is so beautiful”. The kitchen was so well stocked with really nice pans and storage for food that you make! The main floor was perfect for hanging out. The whole porch area was our absolute favorite and they have the nicest rockers! Many extra towels and linens. We enjoyed every minute of being here! We travelled with a 1 year old and 3 year old and they had the time of their life!! The upstairs family room was perfect because it had rockers and enough room for a pack n play and air mattress plus the couch. It’s soo much bigger inside than you would think. The river is beautiful, pretty steep to get there - the stairs don’t go down all the way fyi, but was great for exploring and spending time down there. Great section of the river, we had a fun time in it. Also super convenient location for all the attractions too! We had the best week for our annual whole family vacation!! It was nice to come back to some seclusion after going out to town and just relax! We would definitely stay here again! We will cherish all the memories and pictures!

This house was great for our family of 11. We had plenty of room and the outdoor deck/lawn space was perfect! It was also very secluded from neighbors.

My wife, our dog, and myself have never had a more peaceful stay anywhere ever!! This cottage has everything you need to cook, shower, and sleep. Super comfortable and super clean!! The only things we heard the whole time we were there was the wind blowing through the trees, the river flowing, and the birds chirping. The cottage has the perfect outdoor area, we used the grill and firepit all day!! You don't even have to leave, we walked for miles through woods and back roads and never saw or heard a car or person!! The Betsie river is a few steps away from the deck...unbelievable!! I can't say enough about Randy, the perfect host in every way!! We will definitely be back, the sooner the better. We had a blast!!

On the Betsie in the woods!

We absolutely loved this homey cabin in the woods. Would book again summer or winter. Great quiet location at the end of the road.

This was an annual fishing trip and the property was perfect for us.It is close several fishing locations. there was fish cleaning equipent, a kitchen with everything we needed.large food prep area.There is outdoor area with a covered deck and fire pit.

Family Time At The Cabin

Great property in a peaceful, semi-remote location. We enjoyed the fire pit, spacious kitchen, ample sleeping room, and proximity to the river, Crystal Mountain, and Manistee.
