Charming beach cottage that is steps from the beach with ocean views and canal views all around! Amazing sunsets and sunrises from the wrap around elevated deck. Relax in this 3 Bedroom, 2 full bath home that has been lovingly updated. No need to struggle looking for/pay for beach parking, just walk out the front door and you will be at the beach in less than a minute! Rinse off at the outdoor shower after the beach and then fish off the back yard or relax on the wrap around deck and enjoy canal and ocean views!!

Sleeping accommodations are available for up to 8 people. The home's master bedroom has a queen bed with a full bathroom and ocean views. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed with ocean views, and Bedroom #3 has 2 sets bunk beds that sleep 4 and has canal views.

The beachy furnished living room has a sectional sofa and chairs, a patio door the opens onto the deck and gorgeous canal views, a ceiling fan, flat screen tv, wireless internet, books, and board games. The kitchen features a full sized oven, dishwasher, fridge, pots, pans utensils, and dishes. The master bedroom has a washer and dryer for convenience. The garage has the beach necessities: Beach chairs, Beach wagons with wheels, a cooler, beach towels, kids games and toys.

Short walk to Middleton Park where you can enjoy free Summer Concerts, Splash Pads, Tennis, and more... Home is close to grocery stores, restaurants, bars, mini golf, and kids activities.

Only dogs are welcome at the property. If you are bringing dogs, there is a pet fee and a maximum of 2 dogs allowed. No pets on the furniture. The pet fee does not cover damage done by pet or excessive cleaning needed if any.

**NOTE: You are responsible for any damage to the rental property and its accessories caused by you or anyone that's with your party.

**No motorized boats kept/parked on the property.

**IMPORTANT** There is no railing at the back and side canal. If you rent, you are releasing owner from any and all liability if someone/something falls in and gets injured/damaged in any way.

HOUSE RULES:
Check in is 4pm or after, check out is before 10am. No events, No smoking and vaping inside and outside the home. Minimum age for primary renter is 25yrs. If you need certain dates and it won't let you book - message me - I will book less days if they are available. There will be an outside camera setup for the safety of cars, all outside amenities and of course, to discourage unwanted visitors. If you are going to be checking in late/after dark please let us know so we can turn the light on for you!
***For stays of 20 days or longer in the Off-Season, host will pay for up to $200/mo of utilities and guest pays remainder if any.

House is located in the perfect ideal location! You get both an abundance of the marsh and a view of the ocean. Tons of natural light making it a great house to rent yr round. Besides the wrap around porch there is a covered area under house with comfy big couch lawn games and string lights so you can still enjoy the view in the rain or at night. IG worthy sunsets. The owner was great to deal with and adds those extra little details that embody true southern hospitality.

We loved the house and the location ! Steps from the beach and enjoyed sitting on the back deck. It’s decorated beautifully and the master bath has gorgeous blue tile . We will definitely stay here again.

This property was just lovely. Steps from the beach with a marvelous deck overlooking the canal and a covered patio below. Inside, the house was clean and well stocked with linens, dishes and starter items. But the nicest thing about our stay was the hosts. Communication was rapid and responsive without being intrusive. They are some of the best hosts I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. I definitely look forward to another visit.

Family beach vacay

Family of 4, kids age 14 and 4. We had a wonderful stay at Two Buoys in OKI! The place was the perfect size for us, getting in was a breeze, my husband loved being able to fish on the canal and I loved the proximity to the beach and Kings in case you need any last minute beach accessories 😁 Laurie was very responsive and a great host!! Would 5/5 recommend and stay here again!!

Wonderful & Well Stocked!

Laurie & Matt's home was truly just a short walk from the beach and very well stocked with everything we needed! So many homes sleep 6 people, but do not have the seating for them. We were extremely grateful for the sectional seating both indoor & outdoor to accommodate our two families! The home is well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, and having a good supply of cozy blankets was an added bonus. The beach wagon was also a lifesaver for trucking to the beach with chairs, a tent, and toddler in tow. She was also prompt in her communication with us throughout our stay, and even let us add an additional day when we realized we would be available to check-in a day early. Can't recommend enough!

We stayed at Twin Buoys for 3 nights and had the BEST experience there. The home was very clean and comfortable and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast and dessert each day on the amazing porch, overlooking the gorgeous marsh area. There was a lovely breeze the whole time, so it wasn't buggy at all. Communication with the owner was prompt and she was very friendly and accommodating. My 2 kids especially loved exploring above the marsh area, looking for little crabs...they're now begging for fishing nets for our next visit. I'm a long time Oak Island vacationer, and this is the sweetest house we've ever rented. We can't wait to return to Twin Buoys!

Absolutely Perfect!

My husband & I took our 21 & 17 year old sons (+ their friends) to stay here for the week. We liked it because of the location & because we wanted to bring our two SMALL dogs for their first vacation. Place was very clean. Walking distance to beach, restaurant, & park. Fishing in the back yard! The young folks enjoyed the social area under the house in the evenings. The large porch provided excellent space for morning coffee & evening meals. The sunset on the canal was gorgeous! Laurie, our host, had so many additional touches that made us feel welcome & dogs too! She has honestly thought of everything to help make your stay more enjoyable. We are thinking of making this our annual place! Just a perfect place.

Why they chose this property

There is nothing quite like being on the front deck, looking at the ocean view, and being able to hear the waves from the house! Unless you walk to the back deck and get to see a sunset over the canal. It is absolutely beautiful.

What makes this property unique

I feel like we found a perfect location. The beach is just steps away with ocean views and we are backed up to a canal. Neither view will ever be obstructed. Over time, we plan on building a dock so guests can kayak off the back...
