This is our second time staying at this property and my family had a great time again! There are plenty of supplies and the property owner is very responsive to any questions. I highly recommend this property and property owner.
Perfect walk to Lake Placid village, our older kids really enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. They had a great time with the nerf guns as well! Would stay here again.
Great location. Everyone loved the view of the pond. We enjoyed the kayaking and campfires. Property is well maintained inside and out. We had 4 adults and 2 young children. There is a playground within walking distance. The walk to town was not too far but a bit more uphill than expected.
Beautiful spot - peaceful and relaxing with easy access to all Lake Placid has to offer. The hosts have thought of every detail to maximize guest comfort and enjoyment - including morning coffee, thanks!
This place is awesome. Everything you need and more. We were all so comfortable staying here and our kids, not to mention us, loved the kayaking/canoe options. Definitely recommend!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was cozy and well-appointed. The location was great, within walking distance to town and within easy driving distance of great hiking. The kayaks and SUP were fun and the sauna a special treat. We would definitely stay again!
Terry is an excellent host, very responsive. The check in process was seamless. The property is beautiful and spacious, we enjoyed using the sauna, fire pit, grill and kayaks!

We have kids and love outdoor activities! Placid is the perfect place for us. We started running a few years ago and ran our first half marathon in Lake Placid last year. It was incredible!! The views were beautiful and the climb up the last hill to the Olympic oval for the final lap was well worth it.
Why they chose this property
Lake Placid is a great place to vacation any time of year. Excellent winter sports with an amazing Olympic spirit, fun summer activities and great hiking all year round. Downtown Lake Placid has shops, restaurants, a movie theatre, night time ice skating, and a beach on Mirror Lake for swimming in the summer, plus fun bars and dancing. There are plenty of activities for kids and adults, you never run out of things to do!
What makes this property unique
Our house is on Mill Pond. You can walk into town for dinner or shopping. The kids can walk to the movie theatre in town, or a bowling alley close to the house. The pond is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of waterfowl, watch the ducks from the dock, do a little fishing with the kids or go out for a ride in the canoe or kayaks. The town has a beach on Mirror Lake and this is walking distance as well. In the winter go snowshoeing, skiing or sledding all nearby.
