This home was so beautiful and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The home is spacious and has a spectacular view. Close to Salida and about 25 minutes from Monarch Mountain- a fantastic ski resort for beginners to advanced. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful weekend. The location was perfect, close to town, while also being secluded. The views from the house and the hot tub were amazing. The flowers, card and champagne from Kat were a great surprise! The kitchen has every gadget you could think of. The house had so many thoughtful touches. I can’t wait to go back!

The property was great! The best part is the location to town and only 30min from Monarch mountain. We had a wonderful time. We had a little trouble leaving due to about 2 feet of snow. The plow didn’t make it to us until 10:30/11:00 am. I would just make sure if that’s the case plan ahead. The hot tub is awesome! The views from the house are also amazing but can really only be enjoyed from a small window in the kitchen, the master and the deck. The house was clean and very well stocked. We had everything we needed. I also enjoyed the electronic check in. We would love to and plan to stay here again.

My group and I stayed beginning of October 2023. We were impressed with the views, privacy of the property, comfort of rooms and ample seating, as well as attention to detail of anticipation of our needs and wants during our stay. The kitchen had everything- including coffee, spices, and condiments in fridge. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and enjoyed the amazing views. The pool was not open, so that would have been the cherry on top! Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing Salida Experience

My family had a wonderful time staying here in Salida. The property was well maintained and had ample space for everyone. Being just outside the town, we had unobstructed views of the mountains to ourselves. Downtown was an easy 3-4 minute drive away which we took advantage of to hike, eat, and shop. We stayed over thanksgiving and having a fully stocked kitchen made everything super easy. We would definitely stay again!

Already trying to find a reason to come back

Booked for a weekend getaway with some friends. From the start, communication was clear and easy. We knew exactly where to go, how to enter the home, and what to expect. The house itself was very clean and had everything we wanted and needed, and even the things we didn't know we needed. It was so clear that people had actually lived in this home and knew what would be needed for a group of 8 to live, cook, clean, sleep, etc. There was an XL dog crate (which I needed for my pup and would have been a pain to lug there on the drive from Denver) and dog bowls, plenty of plates, silverware, towels, cleaning supplies, spices, cooking utensils, etc for all 8 of us. The owners left us a hand written note with some wine and we felt SO welcome and at home. The house rules and expectations were clear, the home was private and secluded but a super quick and easy drive in to town. Wifi was reliable, we had several people working from there at the same time with no issues Highlights were... 1. Definitely the million dollar views from the entire back part of the house. Pictures don't do it justice 2. The warmth of the owners and the clarity of how to use every single thing the house offered (hot tub, Sonos system, Smart Lights, temperature controls in every room, keyless entry, alarm system, etc) 3. The interactive screen that had all the instructions, recommendations, and even a welcome video from the homeowner! 4. Location was ideal and there was plenty of parking 5. Dog friendly - the dogs had more fun than anyone without a doubt I will absolutely come back here and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Katrina and John!

This property had the most amazing views. It was obvious the owners want guests to be comfortable because the house is equipped with anything you could imagine. The technology is also top notch. We really enjoyed relaxing on the deck and soaking it all in.

Checks all the boxes for a private mountain getaway close to Salida - Spectacular!

Absolutely outstanding location and rental home. The photos actually do not do justice to the home, it is so much better in person. The home is beautifully maintained, and has all the amenities that you would want to make for a wonderful stay. We had plans to see some sites around the Salida area but wound up staying more at the VRBO location because it was such a great place to be. We had a family reunion of 4 siblings and spouses and everyone was comfortable with plenty of space and seating to enjoy the stay. The deck and hot tub area are fantastic with incredible views. The location is so secluded that you are almost overwhelmed by the quiet. The getaway is loaded with games and activities - check out the large table on the deck, you slide the top and underneath is a shuffleboard table! The kitchen is amazing, probably the best we have ever seen in any other stays, with all the appliances, utensils, cookware, table service (both ceramic and plastic for outside!), and plenty of different sizes and types of drinking cups and glasses (including plastic for outside). Everything was well labeled and made it so easy to use. So, if you are looking for a place close to Salida (a great town to spend your time, with lots of other fun places nearby), that feels like you have gone off to a secluded spot in the mountains, that is comfortable, with plenty of space, lots to do, and owners that clearly care for their guests needs and comfort, THIS IS THE PLACE! We will plan to return.

Everything about this property is inviting. The views are amazing. The furniture and bedding are so comfortable. The kitchen has all the amenities one needs to cook or bake. The deck has a large outdoor table that slids to reveal a game table AND their is a hot tub. We come to this area 4 times a year and have stayed many places and my family and I agree, this is our favorite. It has everything you need to spread out, relax and enjoy. The owner is also a really fun person to talk to. Every interaction we had left me feeling like I was visiting with a lifelong friend. This is a absolute 10 out of 10!

Gorgeous sprawling property! You have a whole hill to yourself!

One of the best houses we've ever rented! Spectacular getaway is an understatement! We spent so much time on the deck enjoying the unobstructed views, be it lounging on the deck, terrace, and/or hot tub. So refreshing and peaceful. So many windows in the kitchen and open flow dining area. Clearly designed to maximize the views. Our original plan was to mostly eat out but the moment we entered the house, everyone wanted to spend as much time there as possible. So we ate most of our meals in so we could soak as much of the beauty and serenity as possible. The house is wonderfully appointed & decorated with everything you need and more! Everything is of the highest quality. Also loved the Sonos sound system! It was so easy to connect using Spotify and select which room/area to play. Great bedroom configuration to accommodate lots of people comfortably. We were a party of 6 and had plenty of room to spare. The master is huge with an incredibly comfortable king bed. The couch set in the master can easily transform into a double bed. The second king bed is platform style and the other queen rooms are also very comfortable and decorated so cutely. There are too many other great amenities to list. But I'll end this review with one last one about the hosts, Kat & John, simply the best hosts! Extraordinarily welcoming!! They ensured we had everything we needed. That said, nothing was lacking. Lastly, between the check-in info, welcome binder, labels, and signs in the house, everything was self-explanatory. Truly one of the best getaways we've ever had!
