The Space

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay while exploring the city, come and stay in our historic Capitol Hill row house. New renovations have brought a modern charm to this century old Victorian home.

THE HOUSE
3 bedrooms:
- master bedroom with a king size bed
- 1st guest bedroom with set of XL twin size beds
- 2nd guest bedroom with a full size bed
(There are (2) sleep sofas in the living room. 1 full size and 1 twin size)

Bathrooms:
- Equipped with a half bathroom on the first floor
- Two full bathrooms on the second floor

Kitchen:
- Fully equipped with a dish washer

Large dining table with seating for six (6)

Guest Access

Fresh linen, towels, hair dryers and bedsheets. Clothes washer and dryer is located on the second floor. State of the art security system. Iron and ironing board. Free Wifi and cable. Easy to use thermostat to control central heat and air-conditioning. Cleaning supplies and household paper products included.

We are very open to speaking with our guests. If you have questions about anything regarding the house or simply need restaurant recommendations, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Neighborhood

We are in the perfect location. The house is on a quiet residential street that is just 3 blocks away from over a dozen bars, restaurants and grocery stores with delivery options. It is also a 10 minute drive away from all the monuments and museums that DC has to offer, Eastern Market, Chinatown, and the U.S. Capitol building.

Getting Around

The home is a 10-15 minute walk to both the Union Station and NoMa Metro stops. There are also public buses in the neighborhood that go directly to popular DC areas such as the National Mall, Chinatown, Georgetown and the Washington Convention Center. Bikeshare rentals, Zipcars, Lyfts and Ubers are readily available.

Very clean. As noted in other comments, the steps are a little steep, but an 82 year old in our group was able to navigate them carefully. Kitchen had everything we needed. Showers are on the small side, but we made do.

Just what we needed

Lots of room for my husband and I, my two kids, and my mother. We explored DC for three days and enjoyed putting our feet up at the VRBO for dinner each night. Close enough that Lyft was an option for getting around and reasonable. There are two showers which is nice, but they are tall and narrow. Overall a wonderful stay.

This house, although unassuming on the outside, is fantastic on the inside. The host, Roselyn, communicated with us quickly. The home was lovely and near everything we wanted to see. Great restaurants are within walking distance as well as grocery stores. The parking was challenging, even with a permit, but overall, an excellent place to stay!

UMD Graduation Stay

My family and I stayed in this lovely home for 4 nights so we could travel into College Park for my daughter’s graduation… home is lovely and clean. Lots of charm in the home- exposed brick interior and comfortable beds! A little tricky to find parking but if you are willing to drive around the block once or twice you are bound to find a spot. Host Roselyn was always available via VRBO app and quick to respond to questions. We would stay here again!
Loved the front porch… glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning.
