The good: The house is clean, the kitchen well stocked with beautiful dishes, the towels are very nice, many little details that showed the owners care. The not so good: The house is an old row-house that hasn’t been updated even though the wood floors may have because they look nice. The showers are small. I’m a thin person and wondered how would someone bigger would fit there. The stairs are steep and dangerous if you have knee problems. The front of the house is a bit scary looking. It is the less attractive home in the neighborhood! It needs a paint job at least and some serious yard work. It has a ton of potential for sure. The back yard is just sad. The furniture in the living room is uncomfortable. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are hard; I would take my own if I had to go back there. We did not like the house but I understand other people, with different taste have liked it. Make sure to use the bug spray if you sit on those chairs at the front of the house!! I felt safe in the neighborhood even though on our first night there was a huge commotion in the back with someone screaming, people running and the police. It scared my grand kids so much. Yet the last night we walked in the dark to get icecream and there were so many people out having a good time; it was fun and felt totally safe. The land lord was nice and let us check in early. She was checking on us, nice! It was overall an interesting experience, but not one that my husband would let me repeat.
