Beautiful 4-Bed beach cottage in La Jolla! 5-minute walk to the best beaches (Marine Street Beach, Windansea) and a 10-minute walk to La Jolla Village and the Cove. There are tons of local restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores within walking distance. Don't miss out on this prime location!

Full Description:

Our home is equipped with a walk-in kitchen with a full refrigerator, washer/dryer, and dishwasher.

We have a brand new, powerful mini-split AC unit installed in the living room, along with two portable and strong window AC units to cool the bedrooms if needed.

The living room features a large new west elm sectional perfect for curling up and watching tv (smart TV with Netflix, YoutubeTV, etc.)

Our dining table is small, though can extend to seat six guests. We also have an outdoor dining table with string lights above.

The front yard is fully fenced in and features an infrared BBQ grill.

Around the back of the house there is a surfboard rack to stow your beach gear along with an outdoor shower for you to rinse off after a trip to the beach (beach chairs provided).

The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

- 1 Twin trundle bed (Twin bed with another twin bed that pulls out)

Neither bathroom is an ensuite, though one bathroom can be closed off from the other side of the house if you would like to have your own space.

The property has a long driveway that can fit two cars.

Pets are welcome!

While this house is a 4 bed/2 bath, the space is small, roughly 1,100 square feet. We recommend staying at our beach cottage if you value location (proximity to the beach, shops, restaurants - very walkable), a comfortable bed, nice furnishings, and a responsive local host.

If you are in a larger group and plan on spending a lot of time in the house and value privacy from your group, we would suggest staying at a larger home in the neighborhood.

For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have an exterior security camera facing the driveway.

Beginning June 2024, construction began on one of the adjacent properties to ours. Construction may occur during weekdays 7am-7pm. There is no construction permitted on weekends. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Cute Cottage

This property was very peaceful and quiet. It worked well for our short stay in La Jolla with family ranging in age from 17-86. It has all necessary conveniences, and the hosts are very responsive to any questions. The location is amazing!

So charming, and awesome location!

We absolutely loved our stay at Virginia & Max's beach house! The place is absolutely charming and is nestled in a beautiful tropical garden. The location is great - you are within walking distance of everything you need in La Jolla. The cottage is not big but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again!

Little beach surf cottage

The home is adorable and funky, and it has a lovely yard that is cozy and private and has many trees and a nice outdoor table we enjoyed for meals and coffee. We walked nearly everywhere and the owners were super fast and friendly with communication.

Great La Jolla house for groups

Visited in September 2024 for a wedding down the street - was a perfect spot for a group of friends given the numerous bedrooms and bathrooms plus a very comfortable couch! Place was very clean and well maintained, cute and quaint, and with easy parking. The hosts were very communicative and helpful! Would definitely recommend.

Family vacation in La Jolla

The property was perfect for 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 young children. The beds were clean and luxuriously comfortable. The toiletries were nice. We were pleased to find great beach towels as well as a beach bag for our use! The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, including a great coffee maker. We enjoyed eating inside as well as on the patio. We enjoyed the location, walking distance from the beach, tide pool and from some family friendly restaurants. There was room to park our 2 rentals off street. The property manager was very responsive to all questions. We hope to stay in this property again and recommend it!

La Jolla Hidden Gem

This charming La Jolla home was exactly what we were looking for! The space was very clean and comfortable, and it felt like a real home away from home. The location was fantastic - we were within walking distance of great shops, restaurants, and everything La Jolla has to offer. Yet, the neighborhood itself was quiet and peaceful, and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. Virginia, the property manager, was also amazing. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating to any questions or needs we had throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better host! Overall, this was a wonderful VRBO experience and we highly recommend this cozy home to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in La Jolla.

Comfy beds

The bigger beds were comfy and clean. Main area is very cute. Great location, beach and restaurants are walkable. Loved not having a mile long list of clean up duties when we left. Bathrooms were a little dirty, especially the showers which had black stained bottoms. There was a rodent in the wall/ceiling that woke us up every night. The front yard was absolutely trashed with shrubs/spider webs/fallen tree debris. Listing said hot tub in amenities, there is no hot tub.

My husband and I lived here from 2021-2024 and loved being so close to the beach and just a short walk away from the fish market and the taco stand, two of our favorite spots. We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and how while you're in the home and on the property you feel like you are surrounded by greenery.
