The layout of the house worked well for our family...adults upstairs, kids downstairs, grandparents in the little house.
There were fishing rods, a paddle board, a kayak, a canoe and a paddle boat for us to use. There is no air conditioning and the bedrooms in the little house are really little. It's within a short distance from sleeping bear dunes, Traverse City and Glen Haven.
Everything was great-except all the cob webs, assuming the mgmnt co just didn't come and do a once over before we checked in and maybe their wasn't renters for awhile? Everything else was clean, but the cob webs on inside and out were crazy! The place was perfect for our families with a 7 mos old up to a 4year old and 7 adults! loved the quiet, calm, warm lake with the kayaks, frogs, turtles and beauty! The beds weren't very comfy but hey, everyone has their own preferences on that.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear the home worked so well for your family and that you enjoyed the peaceful lake, wildlife, and kayaks. We sincerely apologize for the cobwebs you encountered — your note is very helpful, and we’ll be addressing this more closely with our team to ensure a better “once over” before arrivals. We also appreciate your feedback on the beds, as comfort preferences can vary. We’re so glad your group had a memorable stay and would love to welcome you back again!
This is a great place for a relaxing getaway. Stayed here with a group of ladies for an adult soccer tournament in Traverse City. The big house is very spacious and the small house is a bit more cozy, but it worked great for us. No AC but there are plenty of windows, and several fans were provided which kept us comfortable. The kitchens were well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for a large group. We spent a good amount of time on the lake - there was a paddle board, paddle boat, and kayak available for us to use. We also brought our own tubes for relaxing on the water, which was very clear and calm. There is a cute little town a short walk away (no sidewalk but the street was not very busy) that had a grocery store, restaurant, brewery, and coffee shop.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re so glad to hear that both houses worked well for your group and that you had a relaxing and fun-filled getaway. It sounds like you made great use of the lake and the amenities — we love hearing when guests enjoy the paddleboard, kayak, and paddle boat!
We're also happy to hear the kitchens had everything you needed and that the fans helped keep everyone comfortable. Thanks for pointing out the nearby town as well — it's a little gem and we’re glad you got to explore it!
It was a pleasure hosting you and your group, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime.
