Wonderful stay! Cabin was clean and as expected. Host was great about checking in on us and even saw a couple bears in the area. Will definitely be back for another stay.
This was an amazing vacation and a perfect place to stay! My kid shad I laws were in awe of the drive way steep but exhilarating Wonderful experience We will be back!!!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Gatlinburg! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, close enough to enjoy all the attractions, restaurants, and activities Gatlinburg has to offer, while still providing a peaceful mountain retreat. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed for our stay, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. We especially enjoyed the beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere after long days of exploring the area. Our family was in town for a basketball tournament, and this cabin provided the perfect home base for the weekend. The host was responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gatlinburg!
Had a great stay at this cabin! The driveway was definitely a bit scary and the walls are thin but other than that it’s been an amazing time and I would definitely come back here!
We had a great stay at the cabin!Cody was a great host and quick to communicate back. Very accurate listing and clean place upon arrival. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a private, cozy cabin!Hope to be back in Gatlinburg soon!
The cabin was very nice. It is very rustic and has a genuine cabin feel. However, the driveway is very very steep and in disrepair. Also, the gas fire place did not work, which was disappointing.
Me and my Wife had a wonderful Babymoon at Chase N Moose Cabin! Cody our host was very helpful and responded quickly. The cabin was very cozy- we especially loved the Porch area & the Spa. The only issues we encountered were related to cleanliness. Just seemed to be general lack of attention to detail with the cleaning/preparation of the cabin (sticky spots/food, hot tub lid not on, no batteries for tv remote, jammed coffee maker, and 2 cigarettes butts in outdoor areas). With these issues, Cody was quick to respond and apologetic, which was much appreciated. Even with those few issues, don’t write off staying in Chase N Moose. I believe they aim for excellence and these issues we encountered will be dealt with before others stay. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

We had some pretty big issues with the cabin. The host were good about communication and quick to help resolve the issue however.
Cody was absolutely amazing! We stayed during a snowstorm and he went above and beyond by moving us to a safer cabin. Communication was excellent, he was always quick to respond whenever I had questions. The entire experience was incredible. 10/10 would highly recommend booking with him!
This is such a beautiful cabin, we enjoyed our stay and would love to come back to it again sometime. The road getting up to it was a little scary, but we managed it.
Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and felt just like a much-needed vacation. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of hiking and exploring at Ober Mountain. Seeing a bear at the end of the driveway on our first day was such an exciting surprise for the kids! The location was perfect—close to Food City for groceries and other essentials. The spacious bedrooms were great for our family, and sipping coffee on the porch while taking in the mountain view was truly magical. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the cabin had everything we needed. This was such a memorable family vacation, and we can’t wait to book again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home away from hom with us!
A mix up in booking ended with us staying in another beautiful cabin. My review is for that cabin.

I do not believe this cabin gets a great deal of rentals, and for good reason. This cabin was not what we bargained for. The driveway was extremely steep, and while we were staying in the fall, and the leaves were doing just that, falling, the number of leaves on the driveway was so excessive that our SUV actually ended up sliding backwards on several occasions, and at one point, after rain, we ended up having to go and rake the leaves off with our bare hands and sticks to make it up the driveway because on vacation, we typically don’t just carry rakes with us. It is important to note that other cabins on either side of this one had leaves on their drives, but nothing this excessive. It was a safety issue. Especially with such a steep, narrow switchback-style drive that was not mentioned in the listing. In addition, the cabin’s porches were also covered in leaves, and the rockers were all caked in cobwebs. The cabin had basically no insulation, and the floors of the upstairs bedroom creaked extremely loudly. To the point that if our traveling companions got up in the night, it would startle us awake in the bedroom below. The plumbing was also questionable as any time the upstairs toilet was flushed, the downstairs toilet would start bubbling and gurgling. This also happened when the bathtub was drained. The booking stating that there was a fireplace, this was true, but the gas had been shut off. The kitchen was well-stocked though and the hot tub was clean.
The place was fairly dirty, the pictures used for the listing look to be 10 years old due to the trees and just overall upkeep of the building. When we got there we saw multiple lights broken, the Poole table broken lots of dirt and dust and trash that was left in places that weren’t hard to reach but shows the cleaners are really lazy. The roads are so bad that if you don’t have a decently raised truck your vehicle will struggle getting to and from the cabin, not to mention you drive through a golf course at first which for how long we stayed we luckily didn’t get hit at all. There seems to be a real issue with the grading system all together on this because this cabin not only should not be allowed to be listed it is genuinely showing you what it was but thanks to time it no longer is that. Not to mention they had multiple things that we had to buy stuff for just to use like a sponge that we left there because we didn’t want to take it, batteries which we did take for the remotes that needed them and we had to get our own ice due to the ice machine not working in the fridge. In a lot of ways this listing is not just disingenuous it is a flat out lie to anyone looking at the property. Also something of note too if you stay there be very careful of bears they aren’t afraid to go up there and mess around we got lucky that the one we saw got spooked back by some of the sounds from driving up to the cabin.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry your stay didn't reflect the standard we work to maintain across our properties.
We were not made aware of these concerns during or after your stay, which makes it difficult to address them in real time — and for that, we take responsibility. Had we known about the broken lights, pool table, ice maker, or cleanliness concerns, we would have responded immediately. We have a dedicated maintenance team and always encourage guests to reach out to us directly so we can make things right during the stay.
Your comments about the condition of the property and listing accuracy have been taken seriously. We've scheduled a full inspection of the cabin and have addressed these items with our cleaning and maintenance team. Our photos are reviewed and updated periodically, and we'll be re-evaluating this property's listing to ensure it accurately represents the current condition.
Regarding road access — we do note in the listing that the property requires a vehicle with adequate ground clearance, and we're continuing to monitor road conditions. We appreciate the reminder to make that more prominent for future guests.
As for the bear encounter — black bears are common in the Smokies and do occasionally wander near cabins, which is part of the wild character of this area. We include wildlife safety information in our guest materials and take that seriously.
Cozy cabin, great host! However, floors were not cleaned upon our arrival.. We’ve got a crawling baby who was FILTHY from crawling on the ground just the first hour we got there. Disappointed as the least they could’ve done was run a mop across before different people check in.
