Recently renovated and upgraded, this unit shines with new furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen, accommodating up to 6 people, in a total of 1300 square feet of living space.

Bedding consists of a king, a queen and a set of twins.

Centrally located in the heart of Poipu, Makahuena 2-203 offers resort amenities and beach access all within walking and short driving distance. Makahuena Resort is perched on a rocky point above the ocean in Poipu. This unit has ocean views and access to the pool, tennis courts, hot tub and BBQs. The property is within an 8-10 minute walk to the beach. Witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from the over-sized ocean view lanai overlooking the pool and explore the coastal walkways leading to resort amenities, Shipwreck’s Beach, Poipu Beach Park, The Grand Hyatt Resort, casual and fine dining , gourmet grocery stores and weekly farmers markets.

Over the condo was a great place to stay - it is in a great spot for gorgeous ocean views. The pool is really nice and we used the BBQ almost every night. It's very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen in the apartment is nice and the bedrooms are spacious. I loved that there were buckets, spades, beach towels, etc. for us to use. A few things to note: there is no AC in the condo so the master bedroom gets pretty hot during the day. The condo wasn't all-over clean when we arrived - the floor was a bit on the dirty side so I had to do a lot of spot cleaning before letting our toddler run around. And the beaches, whilst walkable, are a bit further than we thought. It is more like a 20 minute walk to Poipu Beach and much of the road does not have a sidewalk which was tough for us with an infant and toddler. Other than that we had a great stay and would definitely recommend to other families.

We found this location to be an ideal spot. Close to Brenekes Beach where we boogie boarded every afternoon as well as Poipu for snorkling. You could hear the waves crash 100 yards away and we even had the pleasure of seeing a pod of dolphins right from the patio. There is an ocean view to the left and to the right. Located just outside the property was a nice walking path to a lookout which was a great spot for a cup of joe and watching the sun rise. Nice and spacious, and stocked with all your vacation needs.

This condo provided views to the ocean and the pool and was a very good launching pad for viewing all that Kauai had to offer. There were some maintenance issues (sliding screen doors, the twin beds needed to be attached more securely, the dishwasher broke) however, the property management company dealt with it promptly. There is a large construction site next door, however, our unit was not noisy. It's a relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

Excellent stay

Family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) and it was perfect!! Very clean, easy to access, nice view, comfortable, well equiped, ( would like an good umbrella somehow for the beach and a 2nd boogieborad) we really liked our stay!! I would recommend it to anyone!

This condo was very nice, clean, well stocked & comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the lanai. We loved Kauai and will certainly be back, having Shipwreck beach and Poipu beach walking distance was great, the area could use more restaurants and stores but we had a car so that did make the stay more enjoyable Mahalo from Canada
