Thank you for the kind words, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We are planning to install a kayak launch in the near future. The boat launch next door is tentatively set to open this spring and it has an huge kayak launch!

During this stay, there was significant damage to the property, including a Christmas tree being moved across the house which appeared to have been knocked over, resulting in more than half of the ornaments broken, as well as damage to a dining room cushion that looked like claw marks from a dog. We communicated promptly and provided documentation of these issues, including photos. We made a reasonable request for partial reimbursement based on the documented damages, which they have yet to pay. There were even price tags left on the ornaments which they denied they were that much and said they went to two stores to replace, but couldn’t find them. They were coastal ornaments purchased at a boutique gift store. The guests were informed upon booking there was a Christmas tree with breakable ornaments and said their dogs wouldn’t mess with the tree. Their two dogs were over the 50lb weight max, they were large dogs and were not leashed when outside which they agreed to in the rules. Once the damages were found and the guest was asked to reimburse for partial amount of damage, they then said their child was injured from the tree upon their arrival day. The concern about an injury was not raised during the stay or at checkout, only when asked to pay for damages. We encourage all guests to communicate any issues immediately so we can resolve them quickly. We remain committed to maintaining our home to a high standard and ensuring a positive experience for all future guests.
