Nice place and quiet. Although there is a gazebo out front, it is not marked as a trolley stop. We were able to work it out with the club after the first day.

Great neighborhood
The area is very nice. The only issue for me was the distance to the beach, very long walk. Yes at the end of our trip we realized that we could have just park st the pool facilities and then walk. Closed to everything if you are driving

This property is nice there are some things to consider. Two of the tvs in the bedrooms 1st floor were not working. Whoever stayed before us or whoever cleaned left dirty dishes. They were placed back in the cabinet dirty. So we ended up washing everything before using it. Either the fans in the bathrooms don't work well or the smoke detectors need to be cleaned. The smoke detectors went off and the fire department came twice because we couldn't get the detectors to turn off. This was stressful and super frustrating. No they weren't overly hot showers. There was clearly a leak in the pool, it needed you be refilled every morning. This pool is extremely worn and needs some love. The patch in the liner isn't working well. This was also frustrating because either a random pool guy would show up or my dad who was supposed to be on vacation felt compelled to babysit it. The grill is in rough shape and leaks all over the deck. My family chose not to use it due to how unsafe the entire set up was and no grill brush. Move the grill off the deck... this is begging for a grill fire. Get a grill matt, a grease catch and clean the grill. Seriously it's a fire hazard. These aren't the things that people want to worry about on vacation. All in all this place was nice, it needs a little love.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the home overall, and we’re truly sorry that some of these issues took away from your vacation.
We’ll follow up with our housekeeping team about the dishes. The smoke detectors are in proper working order, but we recognize that their locations near the bathrooms have caused them to go off inappropriately, and we’re working to correct that. The pool liner is also scheduled to be replaced this winter.
Our pool technician performed the normally scheduled cleaning services before your arrival and once more mid-week. We're sorry if those visits caused concern or confusion.
We’re also addressing the grill and looking at a replacement and better setup for this amenity. We really appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Your feedback is helpful as the owner continues making improvements, and we hope to welcome you back to the Outer Banks again in the future!
House is very beautiful and very well accommodating for 14 people. Loved the family area where we spent most of our time sitting, chatting, cooking and playing board games. Kitchen had every utensil we needed to cook our food. We had 2 little ones under 2 years old who enjoyed the house very much. It was a great relief that the host provided with child restraining food table. It was a bonus. We enjoyed the hot tub on the premise, it was relaxing. It's good to have a pool on the property, but water was so cold that we used only once. We used community pool and it was perfect temperature. We also enjoyed barbecue grill on the balcony, but we had to use aluminum foil on top of grill because it wasn't very well kept. We enjoyed beautiful sunset view from family area and top floor balcony. Rooms and bathrooms are all very well cleaned and well maintained. It's a great and very large community. We enjoyed beach volleyball too at the community center. Great facilities. Also enjoyed beautiful sunset from a small bridge in the community. One thing to keep in mind that kitchen does not have any kind of food items no salt, no pepper, no sugar and no coffee. Just bring all these items if you are planning to drink coffee or make any food. Also no drinking water. Just get them with you when you arrive. But there was a food lion store nearby where you can get all of the grocery items. Other than that it was a perfect get away home for our family.
