Serenity Ridge is our family property that has been with us for over 50 years. You cannot escape the charm of this sweet cabin nestled in the woods. Once you step inside you are swept aways by natural cedar wood paneling throughout. Though like most of us after 50 years a serious makeover was in need. We took a year to renovate and revamp the home into what it is today. We purposely left some if the original charm to keep the home true to the cabin in the woods feel.

Serenity Ridge features three full bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Two rooms include a king size bed and one room includes a full over full bunk bed that sleeps 4 comfortably. We also offer a queen size air mattress. One bathroom includes a walk in shower while the Jack and Jill downstairs has a tub with rain shower. There is an upstairs wrap around balcony and a downstairs walk out balcony. Two spacious living rooms are perfect for adults upstairs and kids downstairs.

There are 4 total smartTVs and cable is included. We also have an air hockey table, ping pong table, corn hole, fishing poles, sled, board games, and puzzles. Though hiking is recommended we also have a stationary bike for exercise on those clod or rainy days. We provide beach towels and coolers for those quick lake or river escapes. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you may need and a propane grill is provided. The majority of the furniture is brand new and the house was renovated in 2023/2024.

** Pet Policy** ONLY DOGS ALLOWED! We do allow 1 dog per stay under 40 pounds. Dog can never be left alone in the home and if they are they must be crated at all times when alone. Please do not allow dogs to be on the furniture or beds. If your dog goes to the bathroom outside please pick it up and dispose of properly in the outside garbage can only. AS PER CITY REGULATIONS DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES!!!! If these rules are broken in any way additional fees will be charged.

This property lacked for nothing! Perfect balance of privacy and community. These views are why we go to the mountains. This is a very well managed property, the host is very attentive and responsive, and ensured this was a top notch VRBO experience for us. I plan to return next fall!

Quick Getaway

Absolutely loved this house. We celebrated my birthday and Spring Break and it was the perfect getaway to unwind. The house was the perfect size for my family of 5. We played ping pong, air hockey, watched movies, and loved the view each morning. Brittany was an amazing host. Any question I had, she answered immediately. Check in and check out process couldn't have been any easier. We look forward to coming back to visit and hopefully stay a little longer.

Cute and cozy house with modern touches!

We loved our stay! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with updated and modern bathrooms, comfortable beds and a perfect teens space downstairs with air hockey and ping pong! The house also comes with 4 pickleball rackets and balls, lots of games and cards! We appreciated that the house had extra TP, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, garage bags and laundry soap! The pantry had spices, foil, and lots of bottled water, all making meals and coffee a breeze!Our favorite part was sitting on the rocking chairs on the back deck and enjoying the morning and evening views, and there’s an overlook a short walk away to enjoy the sunsets! Fun things we did around the area: hiked High Falls, Secret Falls and Dry Falls, white water rafting at Nantahala Outdoor Center, Mountain coaster, shopping and dinning in Highlands and Julep Farms!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! The location is beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains and a peaceful, safe neighborhood. It felt private and secluded, yet there were nearby neighbors which made it feel even more secure. The drive up was made easier with paved roads the entire way up the mountain.The cabin itself was spotless and beautifully decorated with high-quality furniture and cozy touches throughout. The king-size beds were extremely comfortable, with good quality bedding and bathroom towels etc, the living room had nice comfortable couches which made the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring nearby. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed, and having a washer and dryer right in the cabin was such a convenience.We loved the wood-burning fireplace and the wrap-around porch with rocking chairs—perfect for sipping morning coffee while watching the sunrise and enjoying the gorgeous fall colors. It was also great that the cabin was pet-friendly, so our furry friend could enjoy the trip with us. Brittany was a wonderful host—great communication from start to finish—and it’s clear they really care about their guests’ experience.I wholeheartedly recommend this cabin for both its location and quality. We hope to be able to come back!

Relaxing Family Time

The drive up to the cabin is certainly an adventure—with a steep, narrow, and winding road—but the reward at the end is so worth it. Tucked away in the trees, this beautiful treehouse cabin instantly felt like a peaceful escape from the world.We’re absolutely loving our stay here! The interior is both stylish and welcoming, with incredibly comfortable beds and sofas that make it easy to settle right in. The porch is a highlight—perfect for sipping coffee in the morning or relaxing with a blanket in the evening while soaking in the quiet sounds of nature.One of our favorite features was the downstairs fireplace. It took a little figuring out, but thankfully we were able to turn it on manually—and once we did, it added the perfect cozy touch to the cabin atmosphere.This place is a gem. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with charm and comfort, and don’t mind a bit of a climb to get there, this cabin delivers in every way!
