Doug or Mimi O'Neill
About Doug or Mimi O'Neill
We are Mimi and Doug O'Neill recent residents to Montana from Maine. Mimi is originally from Charleston, SC and Doug is from Evanston, Illinois. We met in Charleston 24 years ago and have been married for 14 years and both have children from previous marriages. Our immediate family consists of 2 Golden Retrievers Bella and Bear . Prior to moving here we visited Montana many times and chose the Flathead Valley as our home. We welcome you to visit our home and stay in our cabin and enjoy the serenity and beauty of Montana. Feel free to hike and enjoy our 32 acres and the surrounding forest that encompasses our property.
Doug or Mimi O'Neill purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Doug or Mimi O'Neill chose Kila
As you enjoy your morning coffee on the cabin deck or a cold beverage at night rest assured the deer will be abundant along with the solitude that we have to offer. There will be no highway noise and no lights to hinder your view of the sky at night (Big Sky Montana) just the sounds of wildlife near you.
What makes this Cabin unique
We are 15 to 20 minutes to Kalispell and 40 minutes to Glacier National Park. Flathead Lake and Big Fork are about 25 minutes away with other lakes nearby to enjoy-either fishing, boating or swimming.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
I cannot say enough good things about this cabin. It is tucked away on a beautiful property. I feel that it is private and quite, perfect for relaxing. Mimi is amazing! She provides hospitality that is above and beyond. You must try her breakfast, you won't regret it! That was one of our favorite parts of our stay. Overall a great stay. Highly recommend!
Thanks so much for your kind words!! I am so happy that y'all enjoyed your stay with us...you are welcome back anytime!
Thanks for leaving the cabin do clean! So glad you enjoyed your breakfasts! Mimi
Cabin in the Woods
Owners Doug & Mimi were out welcoming us as soon as we arrived. We loved the quiet, clean air, beautiful starry nights with every day's drive in or out an adventure in wildlife spotting. The cabin was comfy for the two of us and we never ran out of hot water. Mimi's breakfasts lived up to their reviews - fantastic! And the picnic lunch was perfect for our day at the Lake. Doug's recommendation for dinner in Kalispell was spot on; Montana Club was excellent.
Only one hour to West Glacier national park entrance and 40 mins to Whitefish or Kalispell. We truly enjoyed our time here.
Wonderful stay at Antler Ridge Lodge
Great cabin, you cannot go wrong staying here!!

Fun family spot
Really fun time. Wildlife visible from front porch. Clean. Good time!
Perfect mountain retreat...
Awesome spot from which to see NW Montana! Doug and Mimi are gracious hosts and the cabin is clean , comfy and offers beautiful views. Everything you need is close at hand. We used the cabin as our base to fish the many rivers in the area and really enjoyed it...Evenings sitting on the porch or stargazing under that big Montana sky. Excellent home away from home. Plus Mimi is an incredible cook. Her breakfasts are terrific and you should definitely take advantage of them. If you are looking for a scenic, quiet place to see the area I would highly recommended this spot. You’ll love it.
These 2 guys were the best! They left the cabin spotless and we're 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet!
Y'all are welcome back anytime...we could all go fishing together
Also had the opportunity to talk about my home town as one of the guests was from the South!
So glad y'all choose our cabin!
See you next time!
Cozy Cabin Lives Up to Its Name
We could not have been happier with the Cozy Cabin in the Woods - one of the most aptly named properties we've ever stayed at. The cabin is, in fact, on its own wooded lot which gives a sense of seclusion even though the owners' cabin is located conveniently close by.
The cabin seems brands new, with its light wood floorboards, walls, and ceilings. Everything is convenient, compact, and cozy. Mimi and Doug are excellent hosts. They responded right away to our questions before we arrived, and provided great guidance once we arrived.
Mimi's breakfasts (provided at reasonable extra charge) were delicious, hand-delivered warm and ready to eat. I highly recommend ordering breakfast from her - which saves on cooking and allows more time for just savoring the morning at the cabin.
This is one of those rare properties that is actually as good - or better - than it looks online. It did not disappoint - and we would gladly come back again next time we are in Montana.
We are 14 miles from Kalispell in a quiet secluded area in the mountains. Wildlife to include deer, elk, etc. Other activities are 14 miles away in Kalispell to include dining, shopping and Glacier National Park 40 minutes away.Trails on the property will invite you to hike and see nature at her best. Farmers market, rodeo, craft and Christmas shows are available.
You can explore during the day and come back to serenity and wildlife viewing. A fire pit is available to cook or just sit and enjoy.
HORSE BOARDING is available through our neighbor less than 1 mile away
