Tanglewood Villa 101 offers you a cozy, updated property with a fantastic South end location right in the heart of Forest Beach. Guests will enjoy a short 5-7 minute (1Block) walk to the beach as well as Coligny Plaza offering numerous shops, restaurants & night life. Fun for all ages. The unit is fully equipped with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, washer & dryer as well as 2 TVs. The primary bedroom has a King size bed and the guest bedroom has 1 Queen and 1 twin size bed plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. Enjoy the added privacy that this ground floor flat end unit provides as well as the view of the courtyard and pool from the deck just off of the living room. Designated parking is located just outside of the entry door as well as guest spots if you need to bring an additional car. There are 2 grills available to guests adjacent to the pool and the nearby Low Country Celebration Park located on the South side of Pope Avenue has a playground, open field and serves as host to many festivals & concerts throughout the year.

Love the location (close to beach, shopping, restaurants, free trolley) and layout of unit.Unit needs some tlc, sliding door doesn’t work well, some electric outlet falling in, kitchen pans and utensils need upgrading, floor is uneven in some places, clocks don’t work need new batteries.

We booked through Seashore Vacations and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a problem turning on the tv, made a call to Seashore, and within the hour we had a knock on the door and the problem was resolved. The condo was clean, comfortable and we were more than satisfied with our week there. There are signs and directions everywhere to help you navigate through all of the amenities. We would love to return.

Beach getaway

The condo was very nice and centrally located. We were able to walk or ride our bikes to the grocery, restaurants and shopping. Close to the beach! The condo had everything we needed.

We have stayed in this condo in the past with the previous owner and it was kept up much better with zero issues. It has since been let go. The condo was filthy when we arrived. Suncreeen exploded all over the floor and couches, left there untouched. Within 15 min of walking in the condo, our feet were black. Pizza sauce all over the table and chairs. Mac and cheese noodles and sauce everywhere. Doritos on the bed. Food all over the counter. Dirty balled up sheets in the closet floor. Sliding glass patio door broken, ceiling plaster peeling with a large hole the size of a basketball. I contacted the rental company as soon as we walked in and saw all this mess. They made excuses as to who was responsible for cleaning. Never sent anyone to clean the furniture that was covered, and i mean covered in a sunscreen explosion. They sent the owner of the cleaning company out to inspect and get cleaners back in and he kept making excuses saying the cleaners don’t do this or that and that the rental company does. He told me that if i didn’t have a picture of the doritos all over the bed, then it didn’t happen. I was appalled. Nothing was done. No one wanted to be held accountable. My parents and i spent over an hour cleaning the place ourselves after we arrived. Needless to say we won’t be returning to this condo we use to come to for years under the previous owners. You’d think i would get my cleaning/security deposit back for the hours we spent cleaning it. Truly disappointing.

We feel it is important to provide additional context regarding the concerns raised in this review. When the guest contacted us on the day of arrival, we responded immediately. Although it was a busy summer Saturday, we contacted the owner of our housekeeping company, who went directly to the property to inspect the concerns with the guest. Our Field Operations Coordinator also visited that day to address the sliding glass door handle. A replacement was ordered and has since been installed. We take cleanliness very seriously. Our housekeeping company photographs every property immediately after it is cleaned and prepared for arrival. Those photos do not show sunscreen covering the furniture, Doritos on the bed, food on the countertops or chairs, or the other conditions described. Based on that documentation, we do not believe this review accurately reflects the condition of the condo at check-in. The ceiling issue was also discussed during the visit. It is a cosmetic issue caused by humidity when exterior doors are left open while the A/C is running, not an active leak. It is scheduled to be scraped and repainted during the offseason, as this work cannot be completed during peak summer occupancy. We responded immediately, sent representatives to the property the same day, and addressed the maintenance concerns. We do not believe this review is an accurate reflection of Tanglewood 101 and believe future guests deserve the full context of what occurred.

The unit is nice upon first glance with very convenient parking. The carpet in both bedrooms are in desperate need of cleaning/replacement. There is hard flooring in the rest of the unit which is good. The unit needs some basic updates, the vertical blinds are falling out of the holders. When you enter the unit they’re all open wide and let in a ton of sunlight which is great. When you close the blinds they start falling out. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and it was very nice to be able to make a breakfast if we wanted to. The Coffeemaker, I saw the unit has both a Keurig and a traditional drip coffee pot. We went to the grocery store after dropping off our luggage and bought k-cups among other groceries. The next morning I tour. In the Keurig and the descale button is on. That’s a major issue for coffee person like myself. To their credit they delivered another coffee ale the same day. The small bathroom had hair in the shower, it is a tiny bathroom, but functional. My husband cleaned it himself because I was having a really hard time dealing with the stained carpets. They were BAD. We stayed the first week of April. There is a pool, they clean it every morning, but it was pollen season so the pool is cold and covered in pollen buds by mid-morning. I talked to one of the pool guys and he said it doesn’t normally warm up until mid-May. However, you are a 5 minute walk to the beach depending on your fitness level, even with a small child.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy check in, great communication, nice condo. Would be nice to know there was beach gear provided in the house before I rented gear. You can hear everything going on the condo above (but that's condo living). I didn't give a 5 on cleanliness because the bathroom rug in guest bath was dirty, trash under the end table in living, and the back porch table/chairs were not clean (dirt and pollen) and leaves all over (never swept). Easy walk to the beach (with shuttles being near) and to restaurants. I had to contact the rental because there were no parking passes once we arrived but the communication was fast and easy.

We were able to check in early, which was great. They sent a message as soon as the unit was ready, which was a few hours earlier than we had expected, which was super nice with having young kids. The unit was clean just needed a fresh coat of paint and a few cosmetic things. The sliding glass door to the back patio was really hard to open. I messaged the owner to try to get it fixed because we were afraid we might break it, but they never showed. One thing to note is you can hear absolutely everything from whoever is staying upstairs. Even just simple walking across the hallway would make our unit shake. The pool was super nice being right in the backyard. The beach was about 8 to 10 minute walk super easy and one of the best things was that it was like a four minute walk to the low country park which my kids loved. The unit had pretty much everything you would need including chairs, umbrella, beach toys, which was really nice if we would’ve known we wouldn’t have brought ours. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is everything.

We did not have any potholders, could of brought our own if we knew - make getting things out of oven harder. The spectrum tv was a nightmare - living room box had to be reset every time we wanted to use tv; it said no ethernet cable connected--it was; tv in the bedroom kept shutting itself off in the middle of show - like every 10-15 mins. We only received 1 bath wash cloth for each adult....Other than those small inconveniences the place was great. We loved the location and the area. Very nice condo...very clean and comfortable - the deck is great!!!
