Great family destination!

Fabulous home. We totally enjoyed ourselves! The heated pool, hot tub, great grassed in back yard for the kids to run around! The large kitchen was perfect supplied with everything to make it easy to cook amazing meals. Location of property was also great for us to visit family and enjoy a few fun excursions Old Town in Scottsdale and other surrounding places.

Perfect for an extended family traveling together! Everyone had their own room and we were able to have a central space to play board games and hang out every evening. The highlight of the property for me was the hummingbirds and fresh fruit trees!!

Great Spring Training House

My family has stayed at John's house twice in the last two years for Spring Training. The location is perfect for hitting multiple stadiums, the house has plenty of room for families. We love using the jacuzzi every evening and making fresh juice from the (tangelos?) in the morning! John is extremely responsive. We will stay here more if it is available to us on future dates!

This was our second extended stay at this property. Very well stocked kitchen. Enjoyed all the fresh fruit on the trees in the backyard. With cooler temperatures this trip, the heated pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. Overall, beautiful home in a nice location. John is very quick in his response and very nice to work with. We will definitely be coming back!

Great experience

Clean house stocked with everything we needed. Pool was great! Communication with owner was easy. Whenever we had questions (which was frequent) he answered quickly and nicely. Never made us feel like we were bugging him. Lightning storm caused a power outage and he walked me through resetting the hot water heater! And cannot say enough nice things about the property or the owner!

We really enjoyed our visit to Arizona and this was a great home with a variety of amenities that made our stay comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living area very comfortable for lounging, we really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool on the warmer days. The master was wonderful size with its own door to the backyard and included a large walk in closet that was big enough for a crib we rented for our little one, to keep him close. The patio was a little small for our group but with two littles we weren't all out there together. We really appreciated the secure pool area and back yard so we were always confident our kids were safe. Location was good, not too far of a drive to nearby restaurants or shopping areas. Thank you for a great stay!

Great House- Great Sstay

A very positive experience. House: This house was well stocked with everything we needed. We used the juicer often to make lemonaide and orange juice from the fresh fruit on the trees. There was ample seating room in the living room and kitchen (large kitchen). The beds were very comfortable except one of the twin beds was very rocky on its roller base but ok for kids. The master bedroom is huge! Most of the house has been updated. Outside: Great back yard! The pool was great temp for the grandkids as they like it warm. The hot tub was big and adjustable temp. There is plenty of seating room outside and we used the grill often. Plenty of shade and fruit trees. Location: Very easy to get to off the 101 and I loved the neighborhood. We hiked the Arrowhead Point trail just 1-2 miles away in the Thunderbird Mt. area. The guys golfed the Arrowhead Ranch golf course that backs up to the house. They also golfed the 500 Club course near there. I walked across 59th Ave to that neighborhood- big houses that back to a continuous back yard river. We also went to the Wildlife Park and Zoo, horseback riding, and Easter egg hunt in Surprise. There was some street noise from 59th and the 101 but not bad. We didn't hear it at night as our windows were closed. I hightly recommend this VRBO! John, the owner, was very responsive.

Very lovely place to stay

The house looks kind of small from the outside, but is very large on the inside. The layout is also very nice, a hallway separates the master bedroom from the 3 additional rooms. Each room is furnished very tastefully. There's no carpet, which for us is a plus. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you'll need to cook and some nice additions like spices, and coffee. The fridge even had some ketchup, mustard, relish, salad dressings...etc. The living room has a very comfy couch which allows for at least 6 people with an additional chair and recliner. The TV has all of the streaming services you could want. In addition, we use Sling, so we just signed into our own account. There's a nice big dining room table and some additional seating at the kitchen island for meals. The outside area was also very nice. There's a covered patio with some outdoor seating and a dining table. There's a grassy area as well. The back yard has orange trees and lemon trees which were really beautiful. The pool and hot tub are fenced off from the rest of the back yard which was also nice. The pool was clean and nice (I only used it once as the weather wasn't great). We used the hot tub every evening and very much enjoyed it. The neighborhood is close to all kinds of restaurants and businesses. It was also nice and quiet at night (no big partiers). The only downsides were the following: 1. When it rained (and it did one day), the back yard floods a bit, which then makes for wet foot prints and some muddy foot prints into the house (which we felt bad about). 2. The mattresses (all seemed pretty new), were a little to firm for our taste (but that's a personal preference). 3. There's a hummingbird feeder (which was lovely), but it attracted a LOT of bees (which I'm allergic to), so that's also a personal issue. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing as always

This was our second time renting this place and we love it. It’s very comfortable for my husband and our boys (5&6). Hot tub allowed for early morning activity and we enjoyed the heated pool every day. Easy jog to Thunderbird mountain and close to everything. We will surely be back. Lovely home, great choice

This Glendale property turned out to be a wonderful choice for our vacation. When I visited my sisters who live in that area, we all stayed there. It is a very lovely, spacious home, maybe 2000 Sq ft, that shows signs of care and love. There's an open concept layout yet each area is distinct. Furnishings are comfortable. The beds are very comfortable with nice linens. The yard is huge with a pool, hot tub, a large grassy yard, and even some lemon trees and hummingbirds. It is well appointed and shows the benefits of attention. If we had to communicate with the owner about anything, we reached him with ease. On one of our days there, my nephew and his wife visited with their kids for a day of swimming and BBQ. I also must say the master suite is exactly that, a beautiful and masterful suite of a large bedroom with a second door that leads out to the patio and pool, an amazing bathroom, and a walk-in closet. It's all one level, great since I have disabilities, and provided us with many features that made us feel at home. The location is awesome, it was close to stores and restauratants and we even used Doordash easily. It's pet friendly. If you were going to choose a vacation place in the Glendale area, you couldn't find better. All of our communication was with the owner, not the manager, and he did his best to see that our stay went well. I couldn't give it any rating less than 5 stars.

We have been coming to the area since 1996 for spring training and vacation. We looked for just the right house for years. In the future, we hope to spend more time here, but for now we equipped it with what we want in a vacation home and are making it available to everyone.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a one floor property with expansive view of the golf course that this home offered. The back yard was so beautiful we couldn't resist. The orange, lemon and grapefruit trees provide fresh fruit in season and heated pool is fun year round. We went to work on the rest of the house and now it is all as beautiful as the back yard.

What makes this property unique

It's a wonderful retreat designed for comfort and fun. We love hanging out around the house, but when it comes times to go somewhere, you are minutes from the 101 loop. I have gotten to Scottsdale in 20 minutes, the Airport in half and hour and Goodyear in thirty minutes. Peoria Sports Complex (Mariners and Padres Spring training) and University of Phoenix Stadium (Cardinals and Entertainment area) are minutes away.
