We love the area. It's not commercialized in any way, and there are multiple things to do nearby. We chose this place for mostly for the Winter fun. We love the ski hill right out the back door. The main lift is just below the condo and others rave about this place being one of the best in the Midwest for skiing and boarding. Since we just purchased in 2025, our family has not had that experience as of yet! We also like the option to ski and snowboard at Big Powderhorn and Snow River resorts in nearby Upper Michigan while staying here. We have found the rental units near Big Powderhorn are not as affordable as renting and commuting from elsewhere. Even rentals in the "Powderhorn Village" are not really walkable to the hill, because you end up driving to the parking lot anyway. We plan to snowboard Whitecap, but also take in those other resorts since we all have the Indy Pass.
We also chose this place because there is so much to do! There's hiking, fishing, bike riding, kayaking, and swimming opportunities. The ATV/snowmobile trails are right out the door and there are over 150 waterfalls across the Western Upper Peninsula area to explore. As a bonus, Weber Lake is close and within walking distance. We do not provide lake items, but there is a beach and a landing to enjoy. We also love to walk around the neighborhood to see all the unique houses nearby.
Mountain Meadows Condo # 6 is a great place to gather with friends and family. The wood burning fireplace makes it such a cozy place to snuggle up and watch TV, read a book, do a puzzle or play a game. There are great views off the deck where we love to sit and a fire pit at night to tell stories and roast S'mores. There is also room for our grandkids to run and play where we can see them in front of the deck. We love it here and we hope you do, too!
