Welcome to The Refined Retreat - A Thoughtfully Curated Escape in Celoron, NY. Nearby Chautauqua Lake, our meticulously designed retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and relaxation. With every detail carefully considered-from a whole house air purifying system to a towel warmer-this cozy cottage for two is your perfect getaway. Spend your time exploring the water or nearby attractions like the National Comedy Center and Lucille Ball's hometown.
Bringing a boat? Our next-door neighbor, Southern Tier Marina, offers overnight slips, making docking convenient during your stay.
On the first floor the living room welcomes you with a comfortable pull out couch and cozy electric fireplace. There is aso a full bathroom and laundry facilitys on the 1st floor. Upstairs you'll find the loft bedroom with another full bathroom with double shower heads and a towel warmer.
Step outside and enjoy your private outdoor haven! Off-street parking makes arrival stress-free, while the gas grill and beautiful natural gas fire pit set the scene for memorable evenings under the stars.

We had a very lovely time here. Perfect place for a couple to have a romantic weekend getaway. Everything was clean and well-thought out. Communications with the host went very well. Tasteful furnishings and artwork. Loved the lighting accents.One thing to know is that there is no ice in the freezer, nor any ice trays either. It wasn't a big deal, but it surprised us and meant we had to make a trip out to buy a bag.

Bill, Thank you for the feedback! I’m so glad you loved the place. As for the ice, I made the decision not to keep ice trays in the freezer after reading many guest reviews mentioning concerns about ice being left in freezers and questions about how clean it was. I do leave a disposable ice-making bag that makes individual ice cubes for guests who would like some ice during their stay. It sounds like the cleaning crew may not have noticed that the bag needed to be replaced, so I’m sorry it wasn’t there for you. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention! Cindy

This was a wonderful cottage, with every amenity you could possibly need. We contacted the owner early one morning when we couldn’t figure out the thermostat and she replied immediately.The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit. There was even a free concert in the nearby park on Wednesday night.

A very comfortable and very clean place with a number of thoughtful amenities. Location is very convenient. Cynthia was very accessible and answered all our questions, bed also very comfortable and the layout was very good- roomy with a lot of thought put into it. Overall a very nice experience and we would definitely stay here again.

The Refined Retreat: Exactly what this couple was looking for. At a very reasonable price. Our needs were fully met. Beyond that, it’s literally a fun place to stay.First and perhaps foremost, the King Bed in the loft was superb. We’ve traveled extensively. And after all of these years of travel, it’s literally the best rental bed we’ve ever had. (Full Disclosure: It was just the two of us, so we never used the sofa bed.)As others have noted, the many small touches were also greatly appreciated. The “Hanging Cube” light fixture always brought a smile to our faces. Flip a switch, you’ve got an appealing small fireplace. In doubt as to how to operate the washer & dryer? The owners posted concise instructions resolving such doubts.BTW, all of the appliances were up to date & working well. Not always the case with rental properties. With the well stocked kitchen we had everything we needed to prepare the food we purchased at the close by Wegman’s.Spot on recommendation for the nearby Labyrinth Restaurant. Excellent Vegetarian Food. Personally I don’t limit my dining to veggie dishes. But the food was so good we went back for a second meal later in the week.Text communications with Owner Cindy went very smoothly. That said, the unit is so thoughtfully set up there wasn’t much communication needed.Note that a security light illuminates the driveway for returns after dark. Very helpful & much appreciated.Grade For The Refined Retreat? A!Peter B.

This is an amazing property. Clean, modern, many amenities. Restaurant suggestions were spot on. Resources were helpful in locating businesses and recreation in the area. Communication was seamless and almost immediate; questions answered with additional information provided as needed. Would highly recommend.

Quick stay

We needed a nice facility for sleeping as we were joining a family at another location. We couldn't have been more pleased with this rental. The owners obviously put serious thought into both the layout and the construction. So, so many thoughtful details- we were very impressed.

Celoron Getaway

The hosts have done an awesome job with this property. It is a short drive to anyplace on the lake from here and the nearby park and hotel with a great restaurant are an easy walk. You can also walk to boat, canoe and kayak rentals. The.property itself is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We.lacked for nothing. We.will he looking at this property again for our next stay.

A Real Gem!

My wife and I booked the brand new home for a short week and were very impressed. The host delivers on all promises, was great to deal with and extremely prompt in their communications. With its pristine attributes, beautiful/comfortable luxury leather recliners and sofa, thoughtful lighting, and well equipped kitchen, the home was so inviting it made us wish for a long relaxing “rainy day” at what felt like home. Regardless of weather, after a full day at the lake, the loft king bedroom was so welcoming it lulls you to sleep,,,, and encourages sleeping in. We will definitely be returning to this Refined Retreat!

Appropriately Named

We have stayed at numerous rental properties around the country and this is now our favorite. Newly renovated and recently available, we were one of the firsts to enjoy this place. Just a fanatastic job in the design, layout and decorating done on this property. It's a perfect set-up for two people with the king bed, full bath and walk-in closet on the loft level. On the main level, you can convert the couch into a sleeper and there is another full bath and laundry behind the kitchen.We were only there for sleeping and breakfast. Celeron is conveniently located between Jamestown and Lakewood with plenty to do and see in the area.We are hoping to use this place frequently in the future when in town visiting family!
