Why Jeanne Scull & Gary chose Polebridge
The cabins and lodge sit on the top of a ridge overlooking the Flathead River in the distance, which is a designated 'Wild & Scenic River'. It overlooks the beautiful valley below. The property looks out to the East at Glacier National Park Mountains and up to 100 miles of mountain range. There seems to be a magic potent in the atmosphere that erases all tension. The view invites you to just sit and drink it all in. Deer can daily be seen roaming the grounds. Moose frequent the place for fascinating viewing. On some occasions grizzly and black bears pass through. A mountain lion (cougar) has also been sighted.
What makes this Cabin unique
In nearby Glacier National Park is the “Going-To-The-Sun” road that is an experience that brings people from all parts of the world. The view is spectacular. You may drive or relax in the free shuttle van up to Logan Pass or completely through the park. Mountain goats and big horn sheep are often seen on this excursion. In the park are restaurants, gift shops, hiking trails, picnic areas, lakes, etc. Glacier Park International Airport is just 40 miles away. And the cabins are 3 miles from the Polebridge Mercantile, listed in the register of National Historic Places. It is noted for its luscious pastries, breads, and mouth watering sandwiches. Also you will find a few grocery items and souvenirs. Next door to the Mercantile is the Northern Lights Café that will delight your fancy for fine dinners. The beautiful Bowman and Kintla Lakes are assessable from the Northwest entrance just 4 miles away. Canoeing and kayaking are popular sports on the lakes and the Flathead River nearby. Peace and quiet in abundance
I really enjoyed my stay at A Little Piece of Heaven. It was as advertised, off the grid, and a great place to actually focus as an artist and writer. There is wildlife and scenery to be sure, which gave me lots of material to work with as a photographer and a nice place to stay after a long day in the field.
Great cabin in Polebridge
Had a great 4 days at this cabin but it is a bit remote up in the Polebridge area. Roughly a 24 mile drive to the West entrance of GNP. The space is great with a kitchen to cook any meals. A few miles to the south is a snack shop and 2 miles to the north is the Polebridge Mercantile and the Northern Lights Saloon. The cabin has REALLY comfortable beds with flannel bedding which was helpful in the nights. Do make sure you are aware there is no tv or wifi and plan accordingly but this is advertised on the listing.
Plenty of space to park and the owners were very friendly at checkin time.
Beautiful property and very gracious host!! Cabin clean and welll stocked. Beds really comfy with great bedding for the cool nights. And just down the road from the Polebridge mercantile where you MUST go for fresh out of the oven sticky buns!! Would stay here again for sure!!
I really hope you people will come back when the Going to the Sun road is open.
You make good custodians.
Sure thankful you were here when I needed you.
Thank you so much for being here and adding such a nice atmosphere to our place.
Beautiful and Cozy
The cabin we stayed in was cozy, clean and beautiful. The owners were extremely nice and worked with me so we could get an extra night at the last minute. Glacier Park is breathtaking and having a nice place to come home to each night made the trip perfect. The mattresses were comfy, the dishes were clean, the kitchen was organized and well equipped. Even the futon was comfortable and large enough for two adults if needed. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful vacation!
We are amazed at the wonderful people who come to our place.
Thank you for making this place special.
Really nice property and amenities away from hustle and bustle
Cabin was very nice, rustic, had kitchen and fridge, and plenty of space. Property looked new and well maintained. We had requested a crib and it was all set up upon arrival. Property had barbecue area as well as a volleyball/badminton court, with other outdoor games. Very close to Polebridge to get supplies, as well as two dining establishments. Host was very helpful and personable.
I am over whelmed with the wonderful people we are privileged to meet here.
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come again!
We had a great time. Great quiet location! Cabin was great and there was a bear at the neighbor’s cabin. Owners told us about it and we went to go look for it with them. We didn’t see that bear, but got to see 15 bears during our trip. Would definitely recommend!
Sure is fun for us having guests like you. Hope you can come again and maybe we can have some real adventures.
