This 2600 sq ft architectural home blends modern comfort with natural materials and timeless design. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, it features rich wood built-ins, two raw-stone fireplaces, and thoughtful craftsmanship throughout. The primary suite includes a king bed, walk-in closet, and spa-style soaking tub overlooking a private atrium. Two additional bedrooms each offer dedicated workspaces for remote professionals. The roomy two-car garage is equipped with an EV charger and a personal gym.

The 1-acre grounds are designed for peace, beauty and relaxation. A large patio includes an in-ground spa, rock fountain, shaded dining area, BBQ, and plenty of seating for lounging in the sun or the shade. There is a small redwood grove with a cobblestone path that winds its way from the backyard to a seating area on a shady knoll on the west side of the house. The back of the property is fully fenced to keep your pets safe and guarantee your privacy.

Rancho Santa Fe has an extensive system of well-maintained trails that can be accessed from a backyard gate. A private fishing pond and picnic area is a short trail walk away as is the 70 mile Coast-to-Crest trail that runs from the beach to the San Diego foothills.

You can be at the Del Mar Races or local beaches and coastal towns in 15-20 minutes. BBQ, and stone-hewn water fountain.

2-month stays are discounted 10% and 3-month stays are discounted 20%.

Craig is still working as a psychologist and Chris is retired from health care and enjoys photography and gardening. We think our home is very special and we like sharing it with others.

Why they chose this property

Rancho Santa Fe has always been a dream. We love the rural feel that is 15 minutes from the cities of Encinitas or Del Mar. Once you enter the community, you relax and breath easy. It's magical. With trees everywhere, most homes are on acreage and many have barns and stables for their horses. There is a well maintained system of private trails accessible from our property's back gate. They lead to a pond, picnic area and link to the Coast to Crest trail. Our neighborhood, Hacienda Santa Fe, is friendly, with beautiful, well maintained homes.

What makes this property unique

Our home is beautifully designed and uses all of nature's elements to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside. There are rough-hewn rock walls and 2 fireplaces. A rock water fountain relaxes us with the sound of a babbling brook. The handmade wood bookcases and kitchen bar are unique. We have multiple areas outdoors for relaxation. The patio has a in-ground spa, rock water fountain, BBQ, dining area and seating in the shade or sun. There is even a redwood grove with cobblestones taking you through the cool shade to a private seating area on a grassy knoll. It is an exquisite place to relax, entertain, work remotely or just BE.
