About this property
Memory-Making Alpine Retreat: 4BR, Walk to Lake
About this space
Newly remodeled space in Spring of 2025 with new finishes and brand-new furnishings, including a 120-inch drop-down protector!
2 min walk to hiking trails
8 minute walk or 2 min drive to the beach of Lake Tahoe and downtown Tahoe City shops, food & entertainment.
15 min drive to Palisades & Alpine Meadows
25 min drive to Northstar
You will be immersed in nature, surrounded by 100+ ft trees, and can catch a view of the lake from the driveway.
The space
You will arrive at the perfect blend of a secluded mountain retreat that borders Tahoe National Forest and Mt. Watson paired with easy, walkable access to the best Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City has to offer.
You will experience some of our guest's favorite touches (perfect 5-star rating) inside like:
The cohesive "Cozy Chic" design that flows thought out.
The custom, super comfy, deep couch that looks and feels like sitting on a cloud.
The 120-inch projector screen that drops down like magic for a movie night, while hiding away the rest of the time, to curate presence while hanging with your group.
The view of endless trees out the bedroom windows.
You enter the first floor to an open floor plan living room and kitchen perfect for gathering and creating memories. Down the hall are the first 3 bedrooms (king, queen, queen), the bathroom, and the utility room, up the ladder in the utility room is the 4th bedroom sleeping loft (2X double/full).
~1850 sq ft in total.
You are taken care of because this property is thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials to get you started during your stay including things like: a variety of both caffeinated and decaf Coffee K-Cups and tea bags, all the basic spices, single-use condiments like ketchup, soy sauce and siracha, and essential toiletries.
You will enjoy thoughtful extras like: Dual USB-C / Lightning charging cords at each bedside table, yoga mats, board games, a miniature library, all the necessary streaming services available *BYOL* (Bring your own log in).
We provide 3 sets of snowshoes in the winter and a pair of inflatable stand-up paddle boards in the summer.
The walk from the house to Lake Tahoe is 0.4 miles and 160 ft elevation change, about 7 min down and 9 min back up.
While we still think it’s absolutely worth exploring outside of Tahoe City with a car to drive to nice hikes and other activities, leaving the car at home and walking to town and the lake is so freeing, especially during summer parking shortages.
There is no A/C in the house, which is the norm around Tahoe.
Do as us locals do: For best airflow and cooling down around / after sunset we suggest keeping the fan on and cracking the windows that have screens for a cooling cross breeze.
We’ve found this keeps things comfortably cool for most stays.
Property:
This rental is part of a property that includes a guest house. Each with its own separate driveway, entrance and outdoor space. Rest assured, there are no internal connections, ensuring your privacy and comfort.
Parking:
Driveway: 2 spaces.
Street Parking is available from May - October.
No Street Parking from November - April (snow plows).
It snows in Tahoe from November through April.
So you will want to be prepared with chains and / or 4 wheel drive. We get the driveway and streets professionally cleared during and after each storm but snow and ice may accumulate between plow runs. We have automatic snow melting mats for the walkway so you won't need to do any shoveling.
Check in:
Smart locks are automatically coded to the last 4 digits of your phone number. Your code activates at the time of your check-in and is deleted after you check out.
Check out:
Simply turn off the lights and lock the door on your way out, we will take care of the rest.
Send us a message for the local scoop on the best activities in Tahoe, I love to share our experiences. Here's a quick tip: the best Pizza ever is at Mountain Slice down the street from the house. You will find many more tips in the guidebook.

Other things to note
My Fiance and I fell in love with each other and Tahoe at the same time, we lived at the house across the street when we got engaged so when we bought and remodeled this house we knew we loved this specific area of Tahoe so much.
We hope this beautiful mountain retreat brings you adventure, healing, and peace. And that it adds more love to your life and the world.
